Jesus’ blood,
washed over me
now His love
has set me free.
Free from quilt,
free from blame
for, upon Himself
He took my shame.
Jesus’ blood,
flooded over me
flushing out sin’s
grit and debris.
At not a cost,
His grace I attained
now through faith
I’m no longer sin-stained.
Jesus’s blood,
washed over me
giving me a life . . .
now sin free!
~~~~~~~~
“And from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness,
and the first begotten
of the dead, and the prince
of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us,
and washed us from our
sins in his own blood,
And hath made us kings
and priests unto God
and his Father;
to him be glory
and dominion
for ever and ever.”
Amen.
Hi Deborah Ann. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and your prayers. You have been in my prayers as well.
My mom passed peacefully from this world in late August. I was there when she passed. I have no doubt that I will see her again in a much better place as described in God’s Word.
It has been a busy time. We had relatives come from several states to be at the funeral. I was honored to be the speaker at the funeral and the graveside. My mom had sung at many weddings and funerals and I was able to find a tape of her singing many of her favorite hymns so we played three of her solos at her own funeral.
I do have a prayer request. I need wisdom from God as my sister and I go through 80+ years of worldly things. We have made a pretty good dent in it but the process looks like it is going to take quite a bit of time. You can imagine some of the paperwork I’m finding can cause mixed emotions, some sad and some joyful. I will need God’s strength to finish this final effort that I am responsible for concerning my parents’ lives.
Thank you for your sweet comment.
May God bless you and keep you in His peace my dear sister in Christ.
Oh, Chris I am so sorry for your loss. We both know she is in a better place but it doesn’t take away our earthly grief of missing our love ones who leave us. I know that the overwhelming joy that she has right now is something that will make you smile through the sorrow you feel! I pray the Lord will flood you with wonderful memories of your mom to help easy the pain of your loss. I will also pray as you and your family go through the “worldly things” that she collected over the years. We had to do that with my husbands mom and dad and it was hard. We kept some things but most were given away. And the paper work was overwhelming at times. Take care of yourself and know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. You have been a faithful, giving son and brought much honor to your mother through the years. God’s peace be with you. Debby ❤
Thank you for your kind words and I really appreciate your prayers, Debby.
I am going through the identical thing you went through with your husband’s parents. You truly understand. I took a short break and have been back to the house almost every weekday to start the work that you’ve described. Thankfully, my sister lives close and has been a great help. I spent the entire day yesterday going through lots of old papers and shredding those I felt needed to be inaccessible. I have also felt overwhelmed at times, but God continues to carry me through. His love is quite amazing. I am so undeserving but His promises are great.
I am so glad my mom is no longer in pain and I am looking forward to that great day when I see her again.
Again, thank you for your comforting words. May God continue to grant you His peace as well. Chris (pretend there is a heart here as I don’t know how to make one 🙂
