Oh, child of the world,
to its ways you bow
to its wickedness
you’ve taken a vow.
But, God still sees you,
as one of His unsaved
and your condition to Him
is sinful and grave.
Oh, child of the world,
to its pleasures you run
to its evilness
you don’t think to shun.
But, God still sees you,
as one of His own
to you His mercy
He wants to make known.
Oh, child of the world,
where are you off too . . .
will you follow the same path
of those before you?
Into this ungodly world,
you don’t have to proceed
if your heart to Jesus . . .
today you concede.
Oh, child of the world,
if you’re unsaved or lost
consider the love and grace
of Jesus, on Calvary’s cross!
~~~~~
“And have no fellowship
with the unfruitful works
of darkness,
but rather reprove them.”
“But God commendeth
his love toward us,
in that, while we were
yet sinners,
Christ died for us.”
