You can tell God you’re sorry,
ask Him for forgiveness . . .
but, without true repentance
sin, still will be your weakness.
You can try to conquer sin,
but, it is impossible to do
unless you have the Holy Spirit
and His power helping you.
You can beg and you can plea,
for your sins to be forgiven
but, without turning from them
to sin, you’ll still be driven.
You can try to stay away,
from all evil and wickedness
but, without the Light in your life
you’ll still be drawn to the darkness.
You can cry, you can weep,
over your besetting sin
but, without true remorse
over them you’ll never win.
You can try to keep sin at bay,
you can try to cut it out . . .
but, without true repentance
to sin you will still sellout!

but sinners to repentance.”

Thank you so much ๐ It is my prayer that the Lord will use what He gives me to bless others. Not a poem is writing without this thought in mind. Years ago God gave me these verses
Brethren, if any of you do err
from the truth, and one convert him;
Let him know, that he which converteth
the sinner from the error of his way shall
save a soul from death, and shall hide
a multitude of sins.
James 5:19-20
That has been my prayer all along.
I pray you have a blessed day with our Lord and Savior ๐
