The Lord is my Shepherd,
I want nothing more
then the joy and glory
for me He has in store.
He satisfies my thirst,
my hunger He fills
my anxiety and fears
He calms and stills.
The Lord is my Shepherd,
I want not a thing
for my heart is set
on the peace He’ll bring.
He is my saving Light,
He is my High Rock
I’m so blessed to be
a part of His flock.
The Lord is my Shepherd,
there’s nothing I lack
my faith in Him is all . . .
He want’s me to give back!
~~~~~~~
“The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.”
Hi Chris, thank you so much for blessing me with a reblog 🙂 I hope you and yours are doing well and that you had a nice, relaxing summer. Are you back teaching yet? My summer was quite busy and so I am ready for the rest fall provides. I am so glad God made all these wonderful seasons for us. ~ Have a blessed day with our Lord and Savior ~
Hi Deborah. You are welcome and thank you for your kind words. The Arkansas Summer was not as harsh as they can be so we were fortunate in that way. My father, a believer, passed away in early May after a short illness. I have not gone back to teaching this year because my Mom is ill (very weak) and needs someone to help her with daily tasks. My sister or I are with her 24/7 for now. I only live across town from Mom so I get home to see my family a bit each week. We have been blessed. My father died peacefully and, as far as we know, he didn’t suffer. I was with him during most of the last 10 days of his life. My Mom is on several medications that help her to make it through each day. Her faith sustains her. One of her almost daily quotes: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
I’m glad that God made the seasons as well. They are a great reminder of God’s grace as they will continue right up until the very last days before the wonderful new heaven and new earth. I’m glad you will be able to get some rest after a busy summer. I’m sure you got a lot done. Thank you for your kindness and may God bless you and yours mightily.
I remember you telling me of your father’s passing into his new heavenly home. I am sorry that your mother is also ill. I will be praying for you and your family as you tend to her needs. May the Lord of all comfort be with you and bless you with courage,strength,peace and rest. Take care of yourself and keep me posted. With brotherly love, Deborah Ann
