Some days I feel like quitting,
just throwing in the towel
some days I don’t want to think
of another rhyming vowel.
Some days it’s so hard,
putting words into rhyme
some days I feel as if . . .
I’m just wasting my time.
But, then I read my Bible,
and the verses seem to jump
helping me to get over
my poetry writing slump.
For, God keeps telling me,
to continue, to carry on
how I need to keep doing
what I know He has begun.
Some days I feel like quitting,
blogging how and what I feel
but, then God encourages me
and restores my rhyming zeal!

and let not your hands be weak:
for your work shall be rewarded.”

Ms. Ann, this work can be shared across soo may aspects life. Life has it’s hills and valleys which sometimes cause us to want to throw in the towel. Everyone are in a different stage of their walk of faith. Sometimes throwing in the towel is not an option.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words . . . and you are right when we are doing God’s work “throwing in the towel” is not an option. But, I know that God understands my wanting to at times! I will keep on keeping on for God’s glory! ~ Have a blessed day with Jesus ~

Deborah, me too!
I feel the same as you
And weep at times
because it’s too tough to rhyme!
(Seriously, I have felt the same.)
The Lord will do
all that concerneth you!
