God is Smiling ~

god-is-smiling-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

God is smiling,
down on you today
His grace and favor
are for you on display.

He sent you the sun,
shining from above
to remind you of
the warmth of His love.

Each morning He brings,
to you mercies anew
each day He proclaims
your faith He’ll renew.

Beams of everlasting hope,
blissful eternal rays
reflect His future promise
of more peaceful days.

God is smiling,
down on you today
blessings from heaven
just to brighten your day!

~~~~~
Numbers 6:25-26
“The Lord make his face
shine upon thee, and be
gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his
countenance upon thee,
and give thee peace.”
    As a child, the church I attended always ended services with this verse spoken by the Pastor. Thank you, Deborah Ann, for bringing back wonderful memories and for reminding us all that true peace can only come from our amazing Creator!
      Hi there Chris . . . so glad God had something in this for you. I love the verse it is one that I try to start each day off with. I feel really bad for not getting back to you on Hannah’s book. I am still in the process of reading it. I am enjoying it and it is all coming together nicely. I promise when I am done I will get back to you. ~ Praying all is going well for you and yours. Be blessed my friend in Jesus ~
        Hi Deborah Ann.
        Please don’t feel bad about not getting back to me about Hannah’s book. I completely understand. It seems there are so many things that need to be done these days that time is at a minimum.
        I am writing this to you from the hospital where my dad is fighting the flu. So much for the flu shot. Dad is 88 and this think hit him pretty hard. For awhile there, he didn’t even recognize me. I’m thankful that I was there when it go bad enough that an ambulance had to be called. He is expected to recover to his 88 year old self.
        Thank you for your continued encouraging messages that you send out into a world that appears to be growing darker by the day.
        May God richly bless you and yours.
          Sorry I didn’t get back sooner. I did read this when you sent it and have your father in my prayers. I do pray he is much better at this time. I am so glad you were there to get him help. My mom lives along 1500 miles from me. My sister live about 120 miles from her. I call her every Sunday and when she tells me she isn’t feeling well I call my sisters to go and check on her. She just turned 90 so as with your dad things can go south pretty quickly! It was good to hear from you again Chris. ~ I pray God will continue to bless you and your family and that He keeps you in His tender care ~ Debby
            Thank you so much for your kind words and your prayers.
            The doctor has told me that even people much younger than your mom and my dad can experience the strange symptoms he’s having after getting an infection or the flu. I’m still not sure he knows where he is and we are going on our 8th day at the hospital. I am fortunate that my sister and I both live pretty close to him. One of us has been here throughout. My mom, at home and not well enough to visit my dad, is 83 and she takes quite a bit of medication for pain. My sister has been taking care of organizing her meds now for the past year.
            Dad can’t go home in this condition so we are working with a case manager to figure out the best place for him to go for rehabilitation. On top of his confusion, his speech is slurred and he was having a bit of trouble getting around before this hospitalization.
            It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I know that God is with us.
            Thank you, again, for your prayers.
            May God richly bless you and yours as well…
                Thank you so much, Deborah Ann. My father is now in a rehab center and I will be going to visit him today and then will leave to spend the night with my mom who is also struggling.
                I have a peace that neither I nor the world cannot understand, but I know where it is coming from. God is so good. Again, thank you for your prayers. They are very appreciated.
                  Praise the Lord for the peace that passes all understanding. I so know what that feels like. When my son died, God gave me that peace and people I know (even Christian’s ones ) don’t get it, but I do and I know where it comes from! ~ Blessings and prayers my dear friend in Jesus ~
