The cries of the heart,
don’t fall on deaf ears
for each one of them
God promises to hear.
The cry for a heart,
after His own
tells Him you long
to make it His home.
The cry for a heart,
He can transform
tells Him you want
it to be His platform.
The cry for a heart,
open and teachable
tells Him its ready
to be searchable.
The cry for a heart,
to know His ways
tells Him you want
to be lead each day.
The cry for a heart,
that God can touch
says to Him . . .
I love You so much!
~~~~~
“A new heart also will I give you,
and a new spirit will I put
within you: and I will take
away the stony heart out of
your flesh, and I will give
you an heart of flesh.”
Really like how you pair your poetry with Bible verses. Really adds a great deal of depth and meaning to your poem. Looking forward to reading more of your work!
Thank you! The verses I use come after I do my morning Bible reading and studying and reflect my thoughts on what I learned or what was renewed in my heart. ~ Have a blessed day with Jesus ~
