Dwelling On God’s Word ~

dwelling-on-gods-word-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

Let the words of Jesus,
teach us how to be wise
let them dwell in our hearts
so our minds they’ll advise.

Let His words reflect,
daily in our attitude
for they are full of grace
joy, hope and gratitude.

Let Jesus’ life become,
one we are willing to live
for it will bring us peace
as we learn how to forgive.

Let us come together,
with our thankful hymns
let the melody of our words
reflect our love for Him.

Let the words of Jesus,
inspire in each of us . . .
to share with those we meet
why in God we place our trust!

~~~~~~~~~
Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell
in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one
another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing
with grace in your hearts
to the Lord.”
Prepped for Perfection ~
prepped-for-perfection-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
I am being prepped,
for perfection
my heart is showing
Jesus’ reflection.
The more about Him,
I get to know
the more of His grace
I’m able to show.
I’m getting closer,
to His image being
the more of His love
in me I am seeing.
The more I study,
how Jesus lived
the more I’m able
others to forgive.
God’s prepping me,
for perfection . . .
ever since on my heart
Jesus left His impression!
“Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which
is in heaven is perfect.”
If We’re to Be Meek ~
if-were-to-be-meek-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
If we’re to be meek,
but, still be strong . . .
then we must believe
God won’t steer us wrong.
If we’re to be humble,
but, still be bold . . .
then we must let God
into our heart’s to mold.
If we’re to be poor,
but, still be wealthy
then we must remain . . .
to God’s ways healthy.
If we’re to be gentle,
but, still be confident . . .
then we must trust God
is always competent.
If were to be meek,
humble, poor and gentle
then we must live a life . . .
of faith, trust and self-denial!
Joy’s Eternal Yield ~
eternal-joy-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
I came across a field,
it look like all the rest
the weeds and thistles
grew without contest.
But, as I explored,
this grassland full of tares
I came upon a plot
sans any thorny snares.
The patch was pasture green,
where not a single weed grew
is was like a lush meadow
meant to restore and renew.
It was in this patch of land,
that I finally discovered
Jesus loves me even though . . .
with thorns I was covered.
I packed away my misgivings,
and bought into that field
for the treasure I had found . . .
brought joy, as its eternal yield!
~~~~~~~

Matthew 13:44

“Again, the kingdom of heaven
is like unto treasure hid in a field;
the which when a man hath found,
he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth
and selleth all that he hath,
and buyeth that field.

When In The Wilderness ~

when-in-the-wilderness-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann

It gets lonely,
in the wilderness
it feels lifeless
cold and treacherous.

But, when God takes us,
into the wilderness
He wants us with Him
to get down to business.

It’s easy to get lost,
in the wilderness
it can be discouraging
in the land of bitterness.

But, when we trust God,
in the wilderness
He’ll walk us through
our insecureness.

It can be very dangerous,
in the wilderness
it can be desolate
in the land of hopelessness.

But, when God has us,
in the wilderness . . .
it’s because He wants
to heal our stubbornness!

~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 43:19
“Behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth;
shall ye not know it? I will
even make a way in the wilderness,
and rivers in the desert.”
An Apple In God’s Eye ~
an-apple-in-his-eye-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
An apple in God’s eye,
to Him I am a treasure
He loves me with a love
that I cannot measure.
Precious in His sight,
more valuable than gold
on my soul He keeps
an everlasting hold.
Wonderful things for me,
my Father has in store
when Jesus I finally meet
upon heaven’s shore.
Peace everlasting,
bliss like none I’ve known
one day all His glory
on me will be shone.
An apple in God’s eye,
precious in His sight
more valuable than gold
much to my delight!
The Voice of Thanksgiving ~
the-voice-of-thansgiving-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann
May the voice of thanksgiving,
be heard joyfully today . . .
may words of gratefulness
be sung heartily as we pray.
May our heartfelt thoughts,
offer God His due praise
may we be grateful
as our thanks to Him we raise.
May the voice of gratitude,
be heard loud and clear
may our humble thanks
be detected by every ear.
May our praise be sung,
at our dinner table today
may our thanks transcend
beyond Thanksgiving Day.
May the voice of thanksgiving,
be our joyful noise today . . .
may our words of gratitude
be heard by God everyday!
Give A Joyful Shout ~
give-a-joyful-shout-christian-poetry-by-deborah-ann-belka
May you give a joyful shout,
on this Thanksgiving Day
may your elation be seen
as you go about your way.
May gladness fill your heart,
for all God has given
may you remind yourself
just why you are forgiven.
May your thankfulness flow,
in a chorus of gratitude
may the joy of your salvation
reflect in your attitude.
May your praise be heard,
across Thanksgiving’s table
may you proclaim to all
God supplies our every staple.
May you give a joyful shout,
one filled with gratefulness
may you give God due thanks
for His loving graciousness!
