Tumbleweed faith . . .
gets blown all around
one day it’s lifted up
the next upside down.
It’s root is shallow,
it’s weak and unstable
faith like a tumbleweed
spins like a turntable.
Tumbleweed faith . . .
flips with the wind
under false doctrine
it becomes pinned.
Storms of adversity,
are too much for it
faith like a tumbleweed
to deceit won’t admit.
Tumbleweed faith . . .
gets blown all around
for in the true Gospel
it is not firmly ground!
~~~~~~~
That we henceforth
be no more children,
tossed to and fro,
and carried about
with every wind of doctrine,
by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby
they lie in wait to deceive;”
Nicely written. Loved its bounce, just like a tumbleweed!
Thank you Jeanne. I remember as a young girl watching them “bounce” all around. So when I read the verse I thought of them and made the comparison. ~ Have a blessed day with Jesus ~
