Did you hear the news,
I am statistically horrible . . .
in Clinton’s own words
I am grossly deplorable.
I am a phobic,
Islalmo, xeno and homo
in other words she thinks
I am an intolerable dodo.
I am a hateful bigot,
a sexist and a racist
I’m one of the unfortunate
not supporting her bases.
According to Mrs. Clinton,
I’m a disgusting basket case
oh, Father I will pray . . .
she’ll lose the upcoming race.
Did you hear the news,
Hilary thinks I’m horrible
but, I think its her moral’s
that are shamefully deplorable!
~~~~~~~~~~
This know also, that in the
last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers
of their own selves,
covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more
than lovers of God;”
King James Version
This poem is based on Hilary’s Statement
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic,
you could put half of Trump’s supporters
into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’
Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic,
xenophobic, Islamophobic — you name it.
And unfortunately, there are people like that,
and he has lifted them up.”
I have that feeling of “slim pickin’s” in our choices for president this time around! I don’t care for either of the two major candidates, and don’t know either of the two minor ones…
Indeed it is “slim pickin’s ” but then do we cast our vote for the less of the two evils? I am praying about how God would have me vote. I’ve been studying and reading and trying to find what God would have me do!
Since our minds are trained by the Lord’s will, we should be able to decide this issue with His help. But I confess to a good bit of “back and forth” myself!
Good to hear from you Deborah Ann…
Yes, for me too. I think this is one race that I would rather sit out . . . but Holy Spirit is urging me not to . . . so I am confused. Praying He will give me clarity!
Could not help but to think of the following verse . . .
Isaiah 5:20
20 Woe unto them that call evil good,
and good evil; that put darkness for light,
and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet,
and sweet for bitter!
Well I am voting for Trump. Now if we want to look at righteous people in the bible lets take King David for instance. He made serious mistakes but he was still a Godly person. I am saying this about both candidates. There are many Godly people in the bible that made bad judgment calls. Great poem.
Thank you Israel for your positive comment as it seems this poem has made me out to be some unloving, ungraceful, wicked Christian. Yes, God used King David in mighty ways just as He can use anyone today that He sees fit to fulfill His plans and purposes. ~ Blessings ~
Yes, it is funny . . . but I don’t think God is laughing! In this hyper-love culture of the church it appears that anything a Christian has to say about sin and darkness is considered hateful. Could it be the church itself is fueling the fire on “Hate Crimes” and that when all is said and done it will flare back up on them when even talking about God and righteousness falls into a hate category and they are once and for all silenced!
Your right some churches do fuel the fire. Yes we do need to make a stand. The bad thing is as you said is the way Christians are treated when they make that stand. Hey as long as you feel comfortable about what you post so be it. We can’t please everyone. Keep up the good work.
As a Christian I look to your sight because of its spirituality… I was surprised and very disappointed that you involved politics and negativity at best…. It is our responsibility to preach the message of God and his grace…
Daniel, I am sorry that you found my poem to be negative and that I disappointed you, it was not my intentions to be or do either. I used the words of Hilary to write this poem and they reflect her negativity towards those who do not stand up with her and her views. I do not often write political poems but felt lead to write this one. And here is why I chose to publish it
Ephesians 5:8-11
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Indeed . . . I have gotten a few comments that feel I should not have posted this poem. But, I was lead to do so and wanted to shine the light on the darkness of her thoughts about those who do not support her. It is not just how Hilary sees believers, it is how the world sees us too!
You know, I can appreciate how it must seem to feel like a person included in the group that Clinton went on about. But the fact remains we ARE known by the company we keep. I will not be voting for either of them, but I would certainly never vote for a candidate who stands behind a podium while violence is going on right in front of him and says, There’s no more fun place to be than a Trump rally. That is Satanic in my opinion. I don’t normally comment on political things on the blogs, but to hear a fellow believer say they will follow someone who espouses violence flabbergasts me. What would Jesus think if he heard Trump’s comment? Psalm 1a: Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked… Promoting violence of ANY kind is wicked.
I didn’t say I was a Trump fan nor did I say he had my vote. I just pray she loses as she represents the worse of two evils. God is in control, so no matter who wins or loses it is all in His hands and not in mine. The best I can do is pray for this country and the path it has been on for many years now. Sorry you were flabbergasted by a fellow believer’s poem about comments made by one of the candidates . I am just as flabbergasted by you making the assumption that I walk in the steps of the wicked. You cast judgement on me without knowing me and my heart for God and my love for Jesus, for this I am truly sorry that I lead you to think such things of me. Deborah Ann Belka
Perhaps it did, but there are more than two candidate’s on the ticket. I don’t know who I will vote for as Holy Spirit has not lead me to anyone at this time. But, what I do know is that He has definitely lead me not to vote for anyone who is pro-choice and for now that is Mrs. Clinton!
Well, some others don’t agree with you! I was surprised to read the comments last night and this morning from other Christian’s that are questioning my relationship with the Lord. WOW, I didn’t know that when you shine your light on the darkness it can offend other believers and that I would be judged by the words I repeated that Hilary said! So, if I offended anyone I am sorry as that was not my intentions!
The important thing is to tell the truth. Jesus said that people will reject the truth, but we must tell it anyway. Those who choose to follow the lies will eventually destroy themselves. Only truth will set one free. Always tell the truth even when it is not popular. That is what makes you a wonderful lady.
I agree. I really don’t care that much what others think regardless if Christian or not, unless I am way off in doctrine. Then I will be more than happy to consider listening to their point. I am not one who likes discourse, nor do I like to participate in the great debate of our times. I read my Bible, study the verses and let God open my eyes to His truths. I have been doing it this way for years and it has been working for me . . . that’s my story and I sticking to it 🙂 ~ Blessings to you my friend on this fine Saturday ~
