If we’re not to faint,
if we’re not to be weak
then God’s face . . .
we must earnestly seek.
If we’re to keep walking,
if we’re not to ever quit
then to God’s will . . .
we must earnestly submit.
If we’re not to be weary,
if we’re not to ever tire
then to God’s plans . . .
we must earnestly desire.
If we’re to keep running,
if we’re not to forsake
then to God’s Word . . .
we must earnestly intake.
If we’re to mount up,
if we’re not to comedown
then to God’s ways . . .
we must earnestly crackdown.
If we’re to have strength,
if we’re not to be overpowered
then on God we have to wait . . .
so we can be empowered!
~~~~~~~~~~~
“But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings
as eagles; they shall run,
and not be weary; and they
shall walk, and not faint.”
This is another of my favorite verses in scripture. It is a promise that I have seen God keep already many times in my life. I have been blessed. Thank you, Deborah Ann.
Oh, I do love this verse too . . . it has helped me soar above many things! I know it will continue to do so, as I also know more things will be coming my way, just as sure as I know it will rain over 260 days a year where I live!
