God of Our Strength ~

God of Our Strength ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

God of our strength,
God of our hope
give us each day
Your power to cope.

Give us the wisdom,
give us perseverance
help us to keep running
with faith and assurance.

God of our salvation,
God of our redemption
give us the boldness
when facing rejection.

Give us the courage,
give us the fortitude
help us to reflect You
in our daily attitude.

God of our strength,
God of our enlightenment
we need Your power  . . .
in today’s environment!

Job 12:13

“With him is wisdom and strength,
he hath counsel and understanding.”

Deborah Ann Belka is gifted. God has given her a way to share His truth through poetry. Everyone should subscribe to her blog. Her words are His words seen through her eyes.

I should hire you to promote my upcoming book tour! Just kidding there is no book and besides I couldn’t tour around anyway 🙂 Thank you Chris for you kind comment and the reblog. They both serve as a source of encouragement to me. It seems I am always asking God if I should quit blogging and then He has people like yourself send me comments that makes it clear to me to keep on keeping on! ~Praying you have a blessed day, week, year and life with Jesus ~

Quit blogging? What? If you get worn out a bit just slow down, but please don’t stop. You may have to take a break for awhile.
You know that you can self publish a book. My daughter has published 7 and is working on number 8. Just something you might want to consider. If you ever decide to do this, I could give you her email and she could help you through it.
It’s not the kind of thing one does a book tour for as the book is in cyberspace, not hardback. However, your book would get 5 stars and a great comment from me, that’s for sure.
Thank you for your prayers. I will also keep you in mine.

Well . . . I guess I just want to be sure I am doing this for His glory and not for any other reason. I know it is a ministry He has given me and sometimes I ask Him if He has something else for me. Whenever I do I get a comment saying how much one of my poems blessed someone and I take that as a word from the Lord to keep on keeping on. I looked into books, but self-publishing costs too much so if it is God’s will for me to do so I will wait for the go ahead. I really appreciate you Chris, you are a source of encouragement to me and thank God for sending you into my blogging life 🙂

I am blessed by your comment, Deborah Ann. I can’t imagine God calling you to something else. But God is God and I’m not Him. However, you don’t know how much your short items bless me. It isn’t only your poetry. Your snippets and sticky notes have been a source of great encouragement to me as they are generally straight from scripture. I will “say” this. If you feel worn out, take a month or so off. I have done this for a much longer period. I am back blogging stronger than ever. You may need to do this if you continually feel worn out. Just sayin.’ May God bless you my dear sister in Christ no matter which way God takes you! If you want to publish your stuff for free, look up Kindle Direct Publishing. My daughter says it’s a lot of work but her books are up on Amazonbooks and it has cost her a great deal of time but no money. 🙂

Chris, I am not really worn out at all . . . how can I be if I am doing God’s work . . . I just feel like sometimes I am being redundant . . . but then how can I be if I am using the words the Lord gives me . . . if I took time off . . . I would miss it as I too have been encouraged by the sticky’s and snippets He posts on my heart . . . so I will keep on keeping on! ~ Have a blessed day with Jesus ~

                Thank you, Deborah Ann.

I am so glad that you are not worn out. As far as redundancy, I will copy a part of a speech I recently made:

                “And speaking of 7…

The Rule of Seven is an old marketing adage that says a message must be heard at least seven times before someone takes action.”

As a teacher, I know that I, along with the students, need constant review. You may want to keep this in mind as you travel onward Christian soldier.

                God’s blessings…

Do you know something right after I hit the approve and reply button I heard in my head “redundant” how many times have you had to hear the same thing over and over until it sunk in? So I am officially withdrawing my comment and replacing it with a new poem . . . coming soon!
