Give me peace,
in this storm Lord
give me peace
as I know You can . . .
I need You to calm,
the raging going on
I need You to hold me
till the jolting is gone.
I need You to quiet,
the turbulence within
I need Your strength
to fight the whirlwind.
I need You to still,
the thunder in my soul
I need Your tranquility
to take in me control.
Give me peace,
in this storm Lord
give me peace
as only You can!
~~~~~~~~
“He maketh the storm
a calm,
so that the waves
thereof are still.”
How beautiful!
You are a very good poet, and I don’t have very much experience, so am always looking for input on my own poems, would you look at some of my poetry and comment what you think? Any advice or criticism would be most helpful (:
Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. Yes, I will go look at your blog. My experience with poetry comes from when I was young. When I got older I read all about the different kinds of poetry and they just confused me so I stuck with the rhyming kind. I have been told by poetry teachers that I need to work on my meter and rhythm. I don’t fuss with it much and am very happy with the words God gives me and how they are expressed. Poetry is personal and whatever you write, however you write it, should not make much of a difference accept maybe to the pros. ~ Have a blessed week with Jesus ~
