Closer Everyday ~

I’m being drawn,
closer every day
I’m getting further
down the narrow way.

I’m being pulled,
in the right direction
I’m being drawn
by a divine connection.

I’m being guided,
down the righteous way
I’m getting nearer
to the goal every day.

I’m being lead,
towards the eternal light
I’m being taught
to win the faithful fight.

I’m being drawn,
closer in every way
I’m moving nearer
to God each day!

Life is more joyful,
when in God we trust
it is more beautiful
when He’s working in us.

It is more pleasurable,
when we let God lead
it is more bearable
when His laws we heed.

Life is more joyful,

it is more delightful
when He controls us.

It is more enjoyable,
when God shows the way
it is more gratifying
when to Him we pray.

when we are still

when we do His will!

Digging Down ~

Lord, I’m digging down,
going way deep inside
all my selfish desires
I’m going to put aside.

It’s going to get dirty,
as I clear out the way
but, it must be clean
if I want You to stay.

I’m clearing a path,
by repenting of the sin
and all the wickedness
still hidden deep within.

In my heart of hearts,
way deep in my soul
tis where I want You
to take complete control.

Lord, I’m digging down,
going way down inside
making ready a place
where You can abide!

If Walking in The True Light ~

If we are walking,
in the True Light . . .
we will be given
a new heavenly sight.

We’ll begin to see,
God’s full glory
for our past sins
we’ll truly be sorry.

For the Light brings,
unworldly clarity
as it illuminates
our soul’s impurity.

It will expose,
the filth in our heart
so God’s mercy in it
He can impart.

If we are walking,
in the True Light . . .
with spiritual darkness
we’ll not have to fight!

Without God’s Mercy ~

Without God’s mercy,
I would be pitiful
without His favor
I would be miserable.

Without His compassion,
I wouldn’t be sympathetic
without His humbleness
I wouldn’t be apologetic.

Without God’s clemency,
I would be hopeless
without God’s patience
I would be useless.

Without His mildness,
I would not be forgiving
without His tenderness
I would not be accepting.

Without God’s mercy,
I would be deplorable
without His favor
I would be just horrible!

I’m just a vessel,
daily God uses . . .
any way or how
He so chooses.

Whatever His purpose,
whatever is His will
I yield unto Him . . .
to use my given skill.

I want to be a vessel,
that brings honor
so I may glorify . . .
my heavenly Father.

No matter the occasion,
I am open to
whatever He may have
for me to do.

I am just a vessel,
for God to use
no matter the way . . .
He should choose!

Unfailing Love ~

If you are looking,
for unfailing love
then all you need
is to look above.

For God has sent,
the love of His Son
to fill the hearts
of everyone.

Jesus’ love for you,
is like no other kind
for it brings hope
and peace of mind.

His love is everlasting,
it never runs dry
He loves you so much
He was willing to die.

If you are looking,
for a love that’s ceaseless
then all you have to do . . .
is look to Jesus!
