When the Lord comes,
where will you be
what will you be doing
will the clouds you see?
Will you be able to hear,
the last trumpet call
or will it on deaf ears
plummet and fall?
When the Lord comes,
what will you be thinking
will you be prepared . . .
or miss the twinkling?
Will you be alert,
at any given instant
or will you be asleep
far off and distant?
When the Lord comes,
will you be ready or not
will you be waiting . . .
in the clouds to be caught?
~~~~~~~~~~~
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,
at the last trump: for the trumpet shall
sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
When the music fades into the past,
When the days of life are through,
What will be remembered of where I’ve come?
When all is said and done?
Will they say I loved my family?
That I was a faithful friend?
That I lived to tell of God’s own son?
When all is said and done.
And so starts the beginning of one of my favorite Geoff Moore songs, “When All is Said and Done.” As soon as I started to read your lovely poem it began playing in my mind. One day may we all be caught up in the clouds together…’when all is said and done.’ Hugs!!
