Sometimes we soar like eagles,
sometimes we flutter about
sometimes our faith is strong
sometimes we are full of doubt.
Sometimes we reach the mountain,
sometimes in the valley we stay
sometimes to the truth we cling
sometimes to the way we stray.
Sometimes we have victory,
sometimes into sin we fall
sometimes we weather the storm
sometimes we sink in the squall.
Sometimes we stay the course,
sometimes we get off track
sometimes we win the battle
sometimes we fall to the attack.
Sometimes we have strength,
sometimes we feel weak and faint
sometimes we sit and wait
sometimes we have no restraint.
Sometimes we walk by faith,
sometimes we lose our direction
sometimes we try to be faultless
but only Jesus brings perfection!
~~~~~~~~~~~
“But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings
as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”
