Power From the Throne ~
Our might comes from God,
it is not of our own . . .
it comes from the power
of the One, on the throne.
He is the only source,
on which we can extract
the power that we need
when Satan’s on the attack.
We do not need to fear,
when on His hand we rely
for His power and strength
He has promised to supply.
God said He’d equip us,
with the strength we need
to plow through all things
when to His will, we heed.
We need not be dismayed,
when trouble comes our way
for God will give us power
to muscle through the day.
Our might comes from God,
our own will only fail us
but oh, what strength we’ll have
when on His ~ we trust!
~~~~~~~~
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will
help thee; yea, I will uphold thee
with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Hallelujah Journey ~
I’m transforming this valley,
by changing my attitude
I’m going to go through it
with praise and gratitude.
I’m not letting this challenge,
get the better part of me
I’m going to trust it’s where
for now, God wants me to be.
I’m transforming this valley,
by altering my thinking
I’m coming out of it strong
not lifeless and limping.
I’m not letting this trial,
take control of my life
I’m going to conquer it
no matter what the strife.
I’m transforming this valley,
it’ll be my hallelujah journey
for I know in all things . . .
my God, is truly praiseworthy!
Our Stronghold ~
If God is our stronghold,
we will not faint
if He is our refuge
we’ll trust and wait.
If God is our rock,
we will be strong
if He is our fortress
we’ll sing a new song.
If God is our hedge,
we will be protected
if He is our salvation
we’ll never be rejected.
If God is our deliverer,
we will never fall back
if He is our shield
we’ll win every attack.
If God is our strength,
we will not be shaken
if He is our shelter . . .
we’ll not be forsaken!
~~~~~~
“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress,
and my deliverer; my God, my strength,
in whom I will trust; my buckler,
and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower.”

If Jesus Were to Ask ~
If Jesus were to ask me,
right here, right now today
to give up all I have . . .
and with Him, to walk away.
Would I stop and turn,
look back with deep regret
for all that I’d be leaving
would I be sad or upset?
If Jesus were to say to me,
abandon all you truly cherish
would I bid farewell . . .
to all I honestly do relish?
Would I rather hold on to,
all my worldly possessions
or would I willingly let go of
all my earthly obsessions?
If Jesus were to ask me,
to leave with Him today
to give up all I have . . .
what would, to Him, I say?
~~~~~~~~~~~
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him,
and said unto him, One thing thou lackest:
go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast,
and give to the poor, and thou shalt have
treasure in heaven: and come,
take up the cross, and follow me.”
And he was sad at that saying, and went away
grieved: for he had great possessions.”
Thanksgiving Dinner ~
Every year at this same time,
we sit at our dining tables . . .
feasting upon what has become
Thanksgiving Day staples.
We gobble down the turkey,
mashed potatoes and candy yams
then we sit back and disclaim . . .
I can’t believe how full I am.
But, this year I am not serving,
the traditional Thanksgiving fare
instead a healthy fruit salad . . .
is all I’m planning to share.
I’m going take some gentleness,
stuff it full of God’s love
along side of it will be the peace
that comes only from above.
I’ll pile high on each plate,
some joy and some goodness
right next to them I will place
some faith and some meekness.
I’ll top it off with patience,
and for the piece of resistance
I’ll pray for those whom I serve. . .
to have a lot of temperance!
~~~~~~~~~
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.

Thanksgiving Day Prayer 2015 ~
The world’s full of chaos,
of it, man’s made a mess
nonetheless, I do pray . . .
on it, God will truly bless.
So my Thanksgiving prayer,
this year is going to be . . .
for every soul to let Jesus
from their sins set them free.
Free from all the wickedness,
the hatred and dissension
free from the fits of rage
the discord and faction.
Free from evil spirits,
idolatry and debauchery
free from sexual immorality
impurity and lechery.
Free from self-ambition,
jealousy and covetousness
free from self-indulgence
fornication and drunkenness.
The world’s full of chaos,
wickedness is everywhere . . .
and for the lost souls in it
I’ll say a Thanksgiving prayer!
~~~~~~~~~~
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these; Adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance,
emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings,
and such like: of the which I tell you before,
as I have also told you in time past, that they
which do such things . . .
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Forget the Turkey ~
Forget about the turkey,
the dressing and the sides
forget about the pumpkin
pecan or chocolate pies.
Instead lift up your voice,
with shouts of joy and praise
to God your loving Father
let your thanksgiving raise.
Forget about the cleaning,
the flowers and table setting
forget about all the stuff . . .
over which you’re sweating.
Instead show the Lord,
your genuine gratitude
give your thanks to Jesus
for His gracious servitude.
Forget about the dinner,
and cooking that big bird . . .
instead let your song of praise
to God, be forever heard!
~~~~~~~~
O come, let us sing unto the Lord:
let us make a joyful noise to the
rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence
with thanksgiving, and make a joyful
noise unto him with psalms.

Me, Myself and Jesus ~
Me, myself and Jesus,
we go everywhere . . .
I take Him along with me
so to danger I’ll be aware.
Each day as I travel,
through life’s crazy maze
He brings truth and clarity
to the murk and the haze.
There are many paths,
everyday I can choose from
and I know He will direct me
to the ones I need to shun.
When there’s an obstacle,
throwing me off my course
He encourages me over them
so I’ll not feel any remorse.
Me, myself and Jesus,
walking side-by-side
for He keeps my steps
right within His stride!

God Knows ~
God knows,
He’s got it figured out
and it’s up to me
not to have any doubt.
God gets it,
He’s got a perfect plan
and it’s up to me
to leave all in His hand.
God has this one,
He’s got it preformed
and it’s up to me
to be transformed.
God got this,
He’s know my future
and it’s up to me
not to take a detour.
God knows,
my times are in His hands
and it’s up to me . . .
to do what He commands!

You Have Blessed Me ~
To My Friend . . .
You have blessed me,
with words of encouragement
you have provided me
with spiritual nourishment.
You have helped me,
through my pain and grief
you have brought me
refreshment and relief.
You have given me,
hope in a dark place
you have revealed to me
the truth about real grace.
You have comforted me,
when all was too much to bear
you have reassured me
just how much for me you care.
You have been there for me,
my side you didn’t leave
you have consoled me . . .
my sorrow, you did relieve.
So thank you my friend
for blessing me . . .
with your very presence
though you, I cannot see!
~ Thank You Jesus ~
