God is Ever Present ~

God is Ever Present ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

God is ever-present,
His help is always near
that is why I never have
anything to dread or fear.

He promises to support me,
with His righteous hand
I know it’s by His power
I have the strength to stand.

God is always with me,
no matter what I do
whenever I’m distressed
His remedies I pursue.

I am not distraught,
if troubles come my way
for God will direct me
as I go about my day.

God is ever-present,
I haven’t anything to fear
for He has vowed to me
to remain close and near!

Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.”

Deborah, I love your sticky notes and have copied some to keep close by. Your words, which are God’s words always speak to me in one way or the other. But today’s poem was perfect and I know sent by God – I am getting some test results back tomorrow of a spot on my lung that was found by accident when being seen by the dr for a totally unrelated issue. God’s words through your writing gave me more peace and strength and HOPE. Chances are it is nothing, but then again as my mind works, chances are it is something serious….but regardless God promised to be with me and He kept His promise and I thank Him, for an unrelated item that allowed the nodules to be found. Yes, this too is a keeper and I will be keeping it in my bible in the book of psalms. 🙂 Praising God today!

Patty, when I woke up the other morning I felt the need to write something about knowing God is ever-present . . . after I wrote it I remember thinking that God had me write it for someone as I was feeling burdened before I wrote it and then at peace afterwards. I am so glad He gave it to you and that in it He has given you more “peace, strength and HOPE” :)> My prayers will be with you as you await the answer to the test results. Please let me know if there is anything specific you need prayer for and keep me posted. ~ Praying for His peace to continue to give you strength and hold you up in the hope we have in Jesus ~ Deborah ann ~

Thank you – tests I had yesterday came back very good – breathing, lung, heart. Still not sure what is going on so going for a scope test (same day procedure) to pull out tissue samples, please pray for the doctor to have steady hands, gets the samples to provide a clear understanding of what is going on, pray for clear margins, and good results on this latest test. All in all I feel good, no symptoms of anything. Drs found (I hope I did not already tell you) a few tiny nodules in lungs from an xray for a totally different matter. So yes, God is Great that I had a pain that made me go for the xray and I praise Him for that. Thank you!

Glad to hear first round of tests are good ones. Praise the Lord . . . now we need to agree in prayer that the next ones are too. Have you on my prayer list and will continue until you have answers. A few years ago through another test (just like you ) my doctor found nodules on my thyroid. I already had a tumor removed from it when I was in my twenties so there was concern. My doctor said not to worry about them so I don’t. Who knows why they are there but for now we’re just waiting to see if they grow or not! All in God’s mighty hand to do what He wants to do with them! Keep me posted on your results. ~ Prayers, love and heavenly hugs to you Patty ~

I was chaplain of my high school home room back in the days when Bible reading was allowed in school. Psalm 46 was the Psalm I read over and over. I love the way you worked it into your poetry. Thank you!
