Some days Lord,
sadness wakes up with me
no matter what I do . . .
it just won’t let me be.
Some days grief,
takes its choking hold
I feel my knees buckle . . .
as they begin to fold.
Some days sorrow,
follows me all around
like a heap, all I want . . .
is to fall to the ground.
Some days pain,
grips my heart like a vise
making me feel as if . . .
my veins are filled with ice.
Every day Lord,
in which I suffer and grieve
I think about the joy . . .
one day, I’m going to receive!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
“For I reckon that the sufferings
of this present time are not worthy
to be compared with the glory which
shall be revealed in us.”
So well said, Deborah! One day there will be only day, no nights, happiness no sadness. And peace…perfect peace!
