I Don’t Want to See ~
Lord, though my eyes can see,
at times I wish I were blind
so I didn’t have to watch . . .
the destruction of mankind.
I don’t want to be an observer,
to the cruel and evil things
happening everyday in the world
nor the destruction it brings.
I don’t want to be an onlooker,
to those who are oppressed
nor be a bystander while others
freedoms are being suppressed.
I don’t want to be a viewer,
to the gory executions
nor be an armchair eye-witness
to the hateful persecutions.
Lord, I thank you for my sight,
but, all I really want to see . . .
is the Truth, Life and Way
to come and set the world free!

I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Don’t Be Hard Hearted ~
Don’t be hard hearted,
to God’s righteous ways
repent of your every sin
so joy may fill your days.
Do not turn bitter or cold,
be not either lukewarm
let the Holy Spirit’s fire . . .
come upon you like a storm.
Return all you wanderer’s,
all who have backslidden . . .
to greed, lust and immorality
beg your final good ridden.
Be not a friend to this world,
do no become satan’s prey
give back your life to Jesus
return home to Him today.
Do not be hard hearted,
do not turn a blind eye . . .
to the evilness in this world
say farewell and goodbye!

The Wicked ~
The wicked enter through,
the gate of pride and lust
worldly riches pave the path
for it’s in “things” they do trust.
They walk with the ungodly,
party with the irreligious
depravity sleeps in their beds
their covers are sacrilegious.
The wicked live in the dark,
their lives are full of greed
they look to the immoral law
to fill their wants and needs.
They do not have a future,
they keep evilness in their sight
they’re on a road of no hope
refusing to see the light.
The wicked’s end is miserable,
for eternity they’ll spend in hell
but, they who follow God’s Word
in heaven with Him will dwell!

Psalm 1:1-2
“Blessed is the man that walketh not
in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

A Clean Heart ~
Lord, create in me a clean heart,
remove the effects of sin
dissolve the worldly pollution
it has been degenerating in.
Treat the sickness of evil,
on Your Word let me feed
till every commandment
I earnestly start to heed.
Give me a heart spotless,
remove damnation’s crust
eradicate the remains
of lingering greed and lust.
Heal my spiritual apathy,
cure the horrible disease
of indifference and idleness
till I no longer do as I please.
Lord, create in me a clean heart,
remove sin’s stubborn stain
let me keep Your every Word
so in You, I’ll always remain!
~~~~~~~~
Psalm 119:9-11
“Wherewithal shall
a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto
according to thy word.
With my whole heart
have I sought thee:
O let me not wander
from thy commandments.
Thy word have I hid
in mine heart, that I might not
sin against thee.
Behind the Pain ~
God has a reason,
for this, I know . . .
He has a plan
for these tears, I sow.
God has something,
for me to learn
He has a truth
for me to discern.
God has a purpose,
for all of this pain
He has a new insight
for me to gain.
God has a point,
for me to find
He has a revelation
to fill my mind.
God has a reason,
for this, I know . . .
He has a design
for my joy to grow!
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures
for evermore.”
My Heart Grieves ~
My heart grieves,
as this nation falls
for it no longer heeds
God’s righteous calls.
It has all but turned,
away from His grace
our leaders no longer
seek His divine face.
Man has succeeded,
to remove God’s laws
I grieve for a nation
now in Satan’s claws.
We’ve come a long way,
in a very short span . . .
went from in God we trust
to ~ we don’t give a damn.
My heart grieves,
for this country’s fallen soul
but, I know God still . . .
can heal and make it whole!
~~~~~~~~~
“If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

My Joy ~
Lord, when I am sad,
when feeling blue
all I have to do . . .
is to think of You.
You fill me with joy,
lessening my strife
with blissful thoughts
of eternal life.
You bring my soul,
delight and gladness
melting away . . .
feelings of sadness.
You show to me,
Your undying love
mercy’s tenderness
You remind me of.
Lord, when I am blue,
feeling sad and down
just the thought of You
makes my heart bound!

in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy,
because thou defendest them: let them also
that love thy name be joyful in thee.”

Road Signs ~
There are many road signs,
that we all must obey . . .
they direct and guide us
how to go the correct way.
They warn us of the speed,
on every twist and bend
some alert us what’s ahead
is only a dead-end.
Some tell us we must yield,
before we enter into traffic
or we might find ourselves
suffering something tragic.
Others tell us when to go,
some when we’re to merge
some say to slow down . . .
others when to converge.
At every intersection,
we’re told where to stop
or else we should be ready
to be pulled over by a cop.
There are many road signs,
that we all must obey . . .
and so it is with the Bible
but, it only leads . . . one way!
