Lord, bring me to the cross,
I want to pray at Your feet
surrender to You my soul
in absolute defeat.
I have tried on my own,
to find peacefulness
I’ve done all I could do
to discover joyfulness.
I’ve looked the world-over,
to find true contentment
but, I only found sorrow
sadness and resentment.
Now I truly know,
what I need can’t be found
in a world filled with pride
where lust and greed abound.
When you come to the cross,
in utter defeat . . .
know God’s love and grace
will make your life complete!
~~~~~~~
But God commendeth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.
If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
A poem prayer for all
who are in need of deliverance
out of the darkness of this world
into His marvelous light!
