Lord, unchain my arms,
free them to stretch out
in love and peace
let them reach all about.
Lord, unchain my hands,
free them to share and give
hope and encouragement
to all whom You forgive.
Lord, unchain my legs,
free them to move around
so I may shine Your light
on those who are cast down.
Lord, unchain my feet,
free them to follow You
lead and direct them
in all things that I do.
Unchain my mind,
free it to drop everything
to share the joy one day
I know You will bring.
Unchain my heart,
free it to soar high above
so I may tell everyone
about Your perfect love.
Unchain my soul,
from worldly possessions
free me to unchain those
under Satan’s oppression!

Dear Deborah, I would like to email you, personally, if I may. Is this reply sent directly to you or does it appear on blog? Forgive me, this is the first time I have ever joined a blog, so not exactly sure how it works. Thank you so much, God bless you and yours, and hope to hear from you soon. Kindest regards….Dana. 0: )

Thank you Sister for such a great “prayer” that transcends the poetry. I’ve been without a computer for a while but am back and am loving getting back into the groove and reading all the inspiration that the Holy Spirit is spreading through the Lord’s children!! God bless you and yours abundantly!!!

Thank you Cheryl, I do have this cry in my heart and I feel the need to be free myself of everything that ties me down, holds me back, and keeps me from serving Jesus 100%! ~ Blessings ~

I so love to read your poetry. They move my heart to action. How? Sometimes I shout out loud? How?, it causes me to think upon Him, my Saviour. How? They cause me when I read them to fall all over again in love with my precious Saviour.

Thank you so much Jim for letting me know that my poems inspire you and “how” they do. I don’t think I have ever had anyone tell me “how” they do and all your “hows” are the ones I pray “how” God will use them. ~ Blessings and prayers ~ PS maybe I will write a poem and title it HOW 🙂
