Some people look for joy,
in the things money can buy
some people chase after . . .
that big pie, up in the sky.
Some toil and labor,
thinking joy is in their wealth
but, for all their hard work
it only destroys their health.
Some think fame and fortune,
will bring joy and elation
but, for all the recognition
it’s a fifteen-minute sensation.
Some think they will find,
joy in trying to be beautiful
but, for all their surgeries
their faces end up, unmovable.
Some people look for joy,
in all the wrong places
some know it only comes . . .
in the richness of God’s graces!

“For the kingdom of God
is not meat and drink;
but righteousness, and peace,
and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
