Sometimes into my head,
satan loves to crawl . . .
so that my every thought
he can attack and maul.
To his lying schemes,
I am very much aware
he may try with his lies
but, I’ll not fall into his snare.
Sometimes into my head,
satan likes to play around
so, I just say no to him . . .
whenever he comes around.
I’ll not let him take captive,
my heart or my mind
I refuse to fall into . . .
his trappings of any kind.
Sometimes into my head,
satan loves to crawl . . .
but, I can make him flee
when on Jesus’ name ~ I call!

They say there are two roads,
one’s called low, the other high
and throughout my life . . .
both of them, I have tried.
The low one was crowded,
on it, I had many friends
we partied and caroused . . .
right from the start, to the end.
But, soon I discovered,
the evilness on this path
I knew it would only lead me
to the full measure of God’s wrath.
So, I got myself off the road,
leading to death and destruction
and for the higher one . . .
I went looking for instruction.
But, soon I discovered,
heresy and false teaching
for wolves in sheep clothing . . .
were doing all the preaching.
So, I got myself off the road,
turned from the error I had heard
decided to find the truth . . .
that is only found in the Good Word.
They say there are two roads,
one’s called high, the other low
but, I discovered another road . . .
and it’s called ~ the one narrow!

Keep me thirsty Lord,
let not my soul dry out
keep me in the Word
where hope runs throughout.
Keep me thirsty Lord,
let not my love wane or wither
keep me in the Bible
where joy flows like a river.
Keep me thirsty Lord,
let not my heart shrivel
keep me in the Scriptures
where peace never fizzles.
Keep me thirsty Lord,
let not my spirit dehydrate
keep me in the Verses
where grace never evaporates.
Keep me thirsty Lord,
let not my faith decrease or shrink
keep me in the Word . . .
where living waters I can drink!

Spiritual sinkholes,
lie just beneath the surface
when our faith corrodes . . .
we lose our Godly purpose.
The erosion underneath,
causes our trust to collapse
then into worldly things . . .
we will begin to relapse.
Spiritual sinkholes,
any one of us could fall in
they will swallow us up . . .
until our hope caves within.
The gradual deterioration,
of faith’s true foundation
is the underlying reason . . .
we descend into temptation.
Spiritual sinkholes,
causes doubt and fear to flow
they’ll wear down our faith . . .
until a void forms deep below!

In the valley I found,
my Shepherd waiting there
to lead and to guide me . . .
how to give Him my care.
He offered me His staff,
to lean my weariness upon
He took from me my grief
gave me joy to put on.
In the midst of tragedy,
suffering, pain and loss
His rod directed me . . .
to the work on the cross.
He gave me the strength,
hope for each tomorrow
for, He took upon Himself
the pain of my sorrow.
In the valley I found,
my Shepherd waiting there
and now I have His peace
replacing my despair!

Lord, You have me in this valley,
for reason that are unknown . . .
but, I know deep in my heart
I am not down here all alone.
For, I know You are with me,
every step of the way . . .
and I know deep in my soul
there will come a better day.
Lord, I don’t know how long,
in this valley I will be . . .
but, I am prepared to stay
as long as Your here with me.
For, You have always promised,
from me You would never leave
and I know deep in my spirit
these words I now must believe.
Lord, I thank You for this valley,
though it has me feeling low
but, I know I am down here . . .
so my faith in You can grow!

Faith is a mixture,
of sunshine and rain
of highs and lows
happiness and pain.
Faith is a blending,
of gladness and grief
of ups and downs
struggles and relief.
Faith is a fusion,
of blessings and hardships
of twists and turns
droughts and harvests.
Faith is a combination,
of hope and despair
of rises and falls
injury and repair.
Faith is a merging,
of mercy, grace and love
faith believes in all things
we can rise above!

Under my Fathers’ wings,
I’m shielded from every storm
for, He gathers me close to Him
keeps me safe and warm.
My Father shelters me,
from everything that harms
He covers me with His feathers
wraps me, in His loving arms.
I have full protection,
under the shadow of His wings
He is the buckler of my hope
no matter what life brings.
In Him, I have assurance,
I can rise above it all
for, He gives me my own wings
to soar, above each squall.
Under my Fathers’ wings,
I’m eternally protected
my faith and trust in Him . . .
keeps the two of us connected!

Happy are they who trust,
who in God put their faith
blessed are we who obey
we who from God do not stray.
Happy are they who believe,
who in God place their care
blessed are we who are sure
we who in God are secure.
Happy are they who hope,
who in God are persuaded
blessed are we who are compliant
we who in God are reliant.
Happy are they who wait,
who in God are peacefully still
blessed are we who are joyful
we who in God are hopeful.
Happy are they who trust,
who in God put their faith
blessed are we who are in love
with their Father above!

Are you that prodigal,
have you’ve run away
from the truth you knew
in your younger days?
Have you left your Father,
pursued a different life
has your lust and greed
stirred up only strife?
Did you chase after money,
to live the “American Dream”
are your plans to succeed
coming apart at the seam?
Are you at the bottom,
destitute and broke
does your worldly lifestyle
have on you a death choke?
Are you tired of making,
excuses for your shame
are you running out of people
on whom you can blame?
So if you’re that prodigal,
return to God today . . .
He will show you back
to the Life, Truth, and Way!

I trust in God therefore ~
I am . . .
Blessed
Joyful
Delivered
Preserved
Saved
Kept
Helped
Set Free
Made Safe
Covered with
His Feathers
I have . . .
Mercy
Salvation
Hope
Strength
A Rock
A Fortress
A High Tower
A Buckler
A Shield
A Refuge
A New Song
A set of
Eagle Wings
I shall . . .
Not Be Forsaken
Not Be Cofounded
Not Be Moved
Not Trust in Men
Not Be Ashamed
Not Be Afraid
Not Be Removed
Not Be Destitute
Not Be Desolate
Not Fear Flesh
Be Kept Under
His Wings
I will . . .
Trust With All My Heart
Be Delighted
Be Glad
Acknowledge Him
Do Good
Commit My Ways
Shout for Joy
Sing my Praises
Greatly Rejoice
Be Happy
Declare His Works
Know His Ways
Lift Up my Soul
Taste and See Goodness
Be an Olive Tree
Flourish as A Branch
Praise His Word
Pour Out my Heart
Be Kept in Perfect Peace
Abide in The Shadow
of His Wings

I haven’t the muscle,
I don’t have the power
for I am too weak . . .
I am but a coward.
I am feeble and frail,
I have not the grit
I know on my own
I cannot make it.
I am old and tired,
my blood is anemic
I’m puny and scrawny
I am truly pathetic.
I limp all around,
my legs I just drag
I swoon and faint
like an old dish rag.
So, onto Jesus I will cling,
for, He is my High Rock . . .
I count on His strength
all around the clock!

How much longer Lord,
will I be in this wilderness . . .
how much longer, oh my God
will my heart feel this tenderness?
How many more tears Lord,
are there left for me to cry
how many more drops will fall
until they finally dry?
How many more sleepless nights,
will I still go through
how much more restlessness
will inhabit my days too?
How much more grief,
can this heart of mine take
how much more of this pain
till I finally get a break?
How much longer Lord,
will I be in this wilderness . . .
when will You relieve me
with Your loving tenderness?

oh save me for thy mercies’ sake.”

Each new day I begin,
I start it off with praise
to the Lord my God . . .
my gratitude I raise.
I thank my God daily,
for all He has supplied
I can’t tell Him enough
how much I am obliged.
My gratitude is ongoing,
as I go about my day
I thank Him for the blessings
He showers on my way.
I’m grateful for His mercy,
His every good, perfect gift
unto my Lord and Savior
my thankfulness I lift.
As I thank God for being,
the powerful, wise creator
my gratefulness to Him . . .
grows ever-more greater!

The enemy of true peace,
wants to rob you of . . .
the stillness that you have
in the arbor of God’s love.
He wants to steal your joy,
take your happiness away
from God’s tranquil waters . . .
he wants to lead you astray.
He will cast large shadows,
on quiet, pastures green
he’ll say anything to destroy
all that is calm and serene.
His lies are big and bold,
attacking heart and head
until your very soul . . .
is full of fear and dread.
The enemy of our peace,
has many lies to tell . . .
but, we who trust in the Lord
on them ~ we will not dwell!

Jesus wants you to be

He wants you to know
He died for your sin!
