I call Him my Lord,
for, in my heart He lives
I call Him my Savior
for, my sins He forgives.
I call Him my Comforter,
my forever Friend
I call my Protector
my Refuge to the end.
I call Him my King,
for, in my life He reigns
I call Him my Husband
for, He will come again.
I call Him my Rock,
my Resting Place
I call Him my Restorer
the Stone of my Grace.
I call Him my Teacher,
for, He Lights up my Way
I call my Shepherd
for, He leads me every day.
I call Him Glorious,
Wonderful, Faithful and True
I call Him my Example . . .
in everything I do!

Lord, we need a revival
a head bobbing, banner raising
hand clapping, foot stomping
Holy Spirit filled ~ revival.
Lord we need an awakening,
a gospel preaching, heart turning
sin repenting, life changing
Holy Spirit filled ~ awakening.
Lord we need a quickening,
a daily living, life-long giving
fruit bearing, love sharing
Holy Spirit filled ~ quickening.
Lord, we need a renewal,
a world reaching, grace saving
thirst quenching, mind drenching
Holy Spirit filled ~ renewal.
Lord, we need a revival,
a roof raising, earthshaking
God-fearing, soul saving
Holy Spirit filled ~ revival!

The closer we are to Jesus,
the less likely we’ll fall into sin
the nearer we are to Him
the more power we’ll have within.
The faster we repent,
the closer to Jesus we will be
the sooner we find His grace
the more of God’s mercy we’ll see.
The more we know Jesus,
the less we will have to fear
the nearer we grow to God
the farther our regrets will appear.
The quicker we turn to Jesus,
the sooner we will find God’s peace
the earlier we believe in Him
the sooner our faith will increase.
The closer we follow Jesus,
the nearer God will be to us . . .
the tighter we are to Jesus
the more in God we will trust!

I watch Fall’s colored leaves,
turn from red to golden brown
drifting on Autumn’s breeze
floating, gently to the ground.
They lay in all their splendor,
till rake, piles them knee-high
for eye to see or foot to crush
as they wither away and die.
Fall reminds me of the colors,
of things that are yet to come
Jesus arriving in all His glory
to set up His eternal Kingdom.
His eye will see those waiting,
eagerly for His return
while He crushes under foot
those who gave Him no concern.
As I watch Fall’s colored leaves,
turn from red to golden brown
I pray everyday I can turn . . .
just one sinner’s heart around!

James 5:19-20

from the error of his way shall save a soul
from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”

Not just at harvest time,
do we need to have a reason
we can plant seeds of hope
in and out, of every season.
We can reap souls to Jesus,
no matter the time of year
it doesn’t have to be Autumn
harvest time, is always here.
Seeds of faith can be planted,
into the hearts of everyone
whether under snowy covers
or the warm blanket of the sun.
We can gather in the lost,
bring back a wandering soul
it doesn’t have to be Fall
for the harvest, God controls.
It’s always harvest time,
we don’t need to have a reason
we can sow seeds of eternal hope
in and out, of every season!

pray ye therefore the Lord
of the harvest, that he would
send forth labourers into his harvest.”

My faith in God keeps growing,
it’s getting sturdier everyday
for, I delight myself in His Word
no matter the time of day.
The Word of God is nourishment,
day or night, it makes me strong
it brings refreshment to my soul
wherever I go, I take it along.
There is a continuous renewal,
flowing right out of my Bible
daily there’s a Godly influence
no matter my burden or my trial.
I can see the fruit of growth,
maturing right inside of me
no matter the time of the season
I know in God’s Word, I need to be.
My faith in God keeps growing,
for day and night, I meditate . . .
I delight myself in His Word
when on the Bible, I vegetate!

When your heart is troubled,
when you’re feeling dejected
know that with Jesus . . .
you will never be rejected.
When your soul is dismayed,
when you’re feeling depressed
know that with Jesus . . .
you will never be oppressed.
When your mind is dismayed
when you’re feeling frightful
know that with Jesus . . .
you will never be fearful.
When your spirit is discouraged,
when you’re feeling mirthless
know that with Jesus . . .
you will never be worthless.
When your heart is troubled,
when you’re feeling downcast
know that with Jesus . . .
you will never be an outcast!

Lord, give me just a glimpse,
of how heaven’s going to be
let me peek into the room
You have reserved for me.
Let me see the streets,
paved with forever peace
let me gaze upon the path
where grief will finally cease.
Lord, give me just a glimpse,
into the land of no more fear
let me glance into the Light
that’ll dry each and every tear.
Let me see the pathway,
where You’ll walk with me
let me have a quick look
where sorrow I’ll not see.
Lord, give me just a glimpse,
part the clouds so I can see
my family and my friends
who are waiting there for me.
Let me see Your mansion,
the glory of Your throne
Lord, give me just a glimpse
into ~ my eternal home!

I walk the path of grief,
in the valley of pain unknown
but Jesus is here with me . . .
so I don’t have to walk it alone.
The path has its ups and down,
the valley, its highs and lows
but Jesus is here with me . . .
in the midst of my sorrows.
The pathway of heartache,
is paved with dread and fear
but Jesus is here with me . . .
His grace is always near.
The days seem to creep along,
the nights are without end
but Jesus is here with me . . .
my Comforter, my Friend.
I walk the pathway of pain,
but I’m not walking it alone
for Jesus is here with me . . .
on the path, of grief unknown.

I will not be shaken,
nothing can rattle me
not even my own death
will take me, Lord from Thee.
I will not tremble,
I have nothing to fear
even if I’m all alone
God is always near.
I will not waiver,
on my Rock, I will stand
if I was to stumble
in His grace I will land.
I will not be moved,
nothing can take away
the love I have for Jesus
from His ways I’ll not stray.
I will not be shaken,
nothing will take from me
the peace, faith and hope
I have dear Lord, in Thee!

What is a teardrop,
what causes it to fall
why do they even form
when we cry or bawl?
What are they made of,
what causes them to drip
why are they salty
when they fall on our lip?
What makes them go splat,
what causes them to stain
why do they soak in
when they fall like rain.
What turns on each drop,
what causes them to spout
why do they gush
when will they run out?
What makes us weep,
what causes us to cry
when will Jesus come . . .
so God ~ can wipe them dry?

Walk gently my friend,
let your faith guide you
into all of God’s truths
no matter what you do.
Walk gently my friend,
trust God and His plan
when you’re not sure
just hold onto His hand.
Walk gently my friend,
let hope lead the way
whenever you’re in doubt
just stop and pray.
Walk gently my friend,
be aware of the darkness
if you happen upon it . . .
never think it is harmless.
Walk gently my friend,
there’s a lot evil out there
be careful lest you may fall
into one of Satan’s snares!

What can steal my joy,
who can take it away?
no, not chaos nor Satan
will lift it from me today.
Not pain, or sickness,
can rob the joy I feel
no, not even the grave
can my gladness steal.
Nor can stress or strife,
cause my joy to tarnish
no problem or worry
will make my joy vanish.
No hurt or heartache,
can embezzle out of me
the bliss I will feel
when Jesus I finally see.
Nothing can steal my joy,
nobody can take it away
not even grief or sorrow
will cause my joy to decay!

I lift my eyes to heaven,
for there, I know I’ll find
rest and support . . .
for my heart and mind.
I look past my worries,
to find my stronghold
my Lord is waiting there
to fortify and uphold.
I raise my eyes to God,
He offers a hiding place
a refuge where I’m covered
in His almighty grace.
My help comes from above,
where God is ever-present
He comes to my rescue
when to my sins, I repent.
I lift my eyes to heaven,
for there, I know I will find
peace and true contentment
to fill my heart and mind!

What is behind the pain,
what causes so much sorrow
what makes someone not want . . .
to see the light of tomorrow?
What would cause anyone,
to take their very own life
what was their earthly burden
what was the crux of their strife?
What makes a person give up,
what causes them to lose all hope
why, oh why, was no one able to . . .
help them, to endure or cope?
Why would they rather die,
what was their fear and dread
what were their last thoughts
what images filled their head?
Why God ~ is there so much pain,
when will it all come to an end
why can’t everyone see Jesus . . .
as their ~ life-saving Friend?

Lord, You make me happy,
in You my life is complete
You bring my heart glee
whenever I’m downbeat.
Lord, You make me content,
in You I find true rest
You bring me peace
whenever I feel stressed.
Lord, You make me blissful,
in You there is only hope
You bring up my spirits
whenever I cannot cope.
Lord, You make me cheerful,
in You there’s joy all around
You bring me happiness
whenever I’m feeling down.
Lord, You make me joyful,
in You there are only smiles
You bring my life gladness
no matter what be my trials!
