His Heart’s Desire ~

Love candle by Russell Matin free photo #1004

Let us not love with idle words,
that simply roll off our tongues
let us love in truthful actions
and deeds that are left unsung.

Let us not love with conditions,
that requires more of another
let us love in a forgiving measure
bracing and lifting up each other.

Let us not love over factors,
that causes us to clash and fight
let us love with reassuring hearts
filled with joy and God’s eternal light.

Let us not love with a lofty heart,
that brings or puts another down
let us love with hope and bold faith
so others can see the truth we’ve found.

Let us love with pure, honest deeds,
so our conduct awes and inspires . . .
someone to turn their life to our Lord
for, that is what His heart desires!

~~~~~~~~~~
Philippians 2: 1-3
King James Version
“Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ,
if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being
like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord,
of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition
or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem
others better than himself.”
                      So wonderfully put! For the life of me, I can’t understand those who reject God’s love and grace in favor of what this world has to offer.
                      Of course I know the temptations…money, position, fame, lusts of all kinds, pleasures, etc. But they won’t last, they aren’t made to last. And they do a person no good in death!
                      O for the love of an eternal Father who is willing to take His faithful into His eternal mansions!
                      Steve 🙂
                      Steve, I cannot either . . . other than the instant gratification that comes with “the things of this world” and they are all going to turn to rust! ~ Blessings in Jesus ~
                      No doubt the instant gratification is a part of the problem. Not only does the evil one know what desires to place in front of us, he also knows we all want our “pleasure” NOW!
                      He counts on the “shortsightedness” of human desires to “trip us up…” and of course, it works! Christians are in this for the long haul, and must trust that whatever we give up here is nothing when compared to the glories of heaven.
                      Enjoy your day…
                      As the fruits of what you post take root with readers, you will get even more followers and readers! Especially when you try to reciprocate with visits to your regular readers.
                      Of course we all want people to read what we write and comment. We want to return that consideration. And that takes more and more time.
                      However, we should praise God for any such results as these!! And of course, it is heaven which we all must keep our eyes on. That’s first above all else…
                      Steve 🙂
                      Just be sure to thank the Lord before anyone or anything! The readers are so very important, but they will come and go.
                      That’s not to say a regular word of recognition or encouragement isn’t important. On the contrary, we do need to answer as soon as we can.
                      But we all have time constraints, and the Lord will lead people here, for the first time, or the one hundredth and first time if it is His will…
                      Enjoy your day and do your best to post “fruitful” things, Deborah Ann! You always seem to do a very good job of that!!!
                      I leave it all in His hands. I pray He will bring those who need to hear what I believe He puts on my heart. It’s a day to day thing. I never know what I am going to post. Thanks for all you wonderful support Steve. May God be with you and bless you richly.
                      We are the same in that I look for what inspires me each day, and then I write a post based on that. I may have an idea a day or two before, but usually it’s “day to day.”
                      As for “numbers,” we all want to have people read what we write. But that too is up to the Lord. We do our best with topics and writing, but He gives us the readers…
                      You are welcome for my support, and I thank you for yours as well! Keep up your good work.
                      Enjoy your day in the Lord,
