Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
to love one and all . . .
to forgive the one who stumbles
to lift up the ones who fall.
Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d see others deepest need
I’d minister to the lost
their souls to heaven I’d lead.
Oh, to have the life of Christ,
to see all in His saving light
to heal the ailing hearts
to give all eternal sight.
Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d take His Word across the land
I’d lead others to His Kingdom
deliver the unsaved into His hand.
Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
beating deep inside me . . .
to have the mind just like Jesus
oh, how wonderful that would be!

which was also in Christ Jesus:”

I often “like” your work but fail to stop and comment. You have a gift for causing even the casual reader to see Jesus through you words. This is a rare and special gift. Thank you for my Jesus reminders.

I have thought quite a bit about the way things work, or seem to work, on the blogs. Good people work on and post what’s on their heart. The visiting of each other’s site can blur and we end up liking without really hearing the message. I have been guilty of this but no more. I want God to speak to me through the labor of others.
Sorry for the rant, I am a bit disheartened with the trading of likes to keep the stats up. When you see me comment/like know that I have read and received your post, it was not in vain. Thank you for your time and talent. Pardon the negativity.

I understand what you are saying. If I get a “like” I pray what I wrote will bless the liker. If I get a comment I am encouraged by how my words have touched them. Either case, I do this for God’s glory and not mine. I read post and will like if they touch me, I have limited time to comment and find that I can spend hours doing so. I comment on the blogs that wrote something that really has touched me and spoke to my spirit. See, now you got me going 🙂 ~ Blessings ~

Thank you for your post; it is very beautiful, and of great truth. The things that I read of your writings are part of the base of thoughts that I share with my congregation, and of that which I post in my writings. Please know how God is using you. You are truly a blessing.
