Come unto Me,
draw close, come near
stop your struggling
My way is so clear.
I’ll take your load,
just give it to Me
stop striving yourself
to be worry free.
Seek no further,
search no longer
those who rest in Me
find they are stronger.
The peace you need,
just can’t be found
unless your heart
to me comes around.
I will end your doubt,
free you from sin
together we’ll work out
a new life within.
Weary, tired souls,
so many burdens to bear
come and leave them in
My merciful care!

Matthew 11:28

and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Deborah Ann, I think this poem really gets to the heart of the matter on why so many reject following Christ. I love the stanza –
‘the peace you need
Just can’t be found
Unless unto Me
Your heart comes around.’
There problem is a heart problem that only God can fix.
Nice

Thank you Sue. Indeed it is a heart issue. Our pride steals away the joy He has for us in knowing the fullness of His love and grace. ~ Blessings ~

One of my favorite Scripture passages. I have never felt a peace like I found when I surrendered all to Christ. Well penned.
