Daily Renewal ~

Daily Renewal ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

Each day I’m being renewed,
I can feel it deep in my soul
every day I’m finding power
to press on towards the goal.

Each day I’m being changed,
I can feel it deep in my heart
every day that God gives me
is an amazing new start.

Each day I’m being transformed,
in my mind everything is new
every day Jesus is showing me
things about Him, I never knew.

Each day I’m being restored,
as I let Jesus work out in me
the mystery and eternal glory
in the things that I can’t see!

~~~~~~~~~~
Romans 12:2
King James Version
“And be not conformed to this world:
but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
I Will Not Fear ~
Storm Coming free photo by Danielle Hartland #1375 Creation Swap
I will get through,
I will not dread
I will not fear
the storm ahead.
I will not drown,
I will not sink
I will not go
over the brink.
I will not waiver,
I will not doubt
I will not question
how I’ll get out.
I will not let go,
I will not be weak
I will not lose faith
no matter how bleak.
For, I have Jesus,
as my anchor
together this storm
we will conquer!
~~~~~~

James 1:6
King James Version

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea
driven with the wind and tossed.”

Forgiveness in the Son ~

forgiveness CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann

It’s not that I don’t remember,
it’s just that I choose to forget
my life as I lived it . . .
before the day Jesus and I met.

It’s not that I can’t recall,
the places that I have been
but, I know it’s just the devil
who wants to visit my past sin.

It’s not that I don’t regret,
or feel the shame of disgrace
it’s just that I know I’m forgiven
because of Jesus’ awesome grace.

It’s not that I don’t consider,
my life before I was saved
it’s just that I don’t want to be
to my former days enslaved.

So, don’t throw in others faces,
the wrong things they have done
for, we’re all a bunch of sinners
needing to forgive every one!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 38:17
King James Version
“Behold, for peace I had great bitterness:
but thou hast in love to my soul delivered
it from the pit of corruption:
for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
Never Forsaken ~
My Sheep used with perrmison Doorpost Verses on Facebook
I’ll never leave or forsake you,
even when you think I don’t care
I understand all your feelings
how much you have to bear.
I’ll never leave or desert you,
even when you think I’m far away
I know each step you’ve taken
I have been with you all the way.
I’ll never leave or forget you,
even though you feel I’m not there
I’m always watching out for you
you have always been in My care.
I’ll never leave or forsake you,
your every thought I know and see
I’m always here to listen  to you . . .
can you say the same ~ for Me?
Fill Me With Humility ~
lord-fill-me-with-humility CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Lord, take me off my pedestal,
my pious stand of conceit
bring me down off of it
and put me at Your feet.
From there let me look,
up to only You
let not my own pride
be in anything more I do.
Lord, take my self-worth,
knock it to the ground
help me to see in myself
there’s no good to be found.
Let me stay on my knees,
until I come to recognize
how my haughtiness
is just rebellion in disguise.
Lord, take me off my pedestal,
rid me of my vanity . . .
let me stay at Your feet
till I’m filled with humility!
King James Version
My Father Knows Best ~
If God used with permission IBible Verses
My Father knows best,
He has all the answers
whenever I’m in doubt
I look to His standards.
In them, I always find,
His truths and His way
I know I’ll be blessed
when I do as they say.
My Father knows best,
He makes no mistakes
whenever in disbelief
faith in me, He creates.
In His Word I find,
direction for holy living
divine daily guidance
for everyday surviving.
My Father knows best,
I trust Him for all things
He leads me the right way
in whatever life brings!
I Shall Want ~
i-want-to-be-more-like-jesusCHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
I shall not want,
and yet I do . . .
for Jesus I want
more of you.
I have this need,
to know You more
that really is all
I am asking for.
I know just where,
I should look
for I can find You
in the Good Book.
There You give me,
all that I need
when on Your word
I feast and feed.
I shall want,
yes I do . . .
so Jesus I can be
more like You!
Just Like Peter!
Messed Up by kelly Sikkema free photo #16451
Lord, how many times have I denied You,
unlike Peter, I know of more than three
yet, just like Peter all I really wanted
was to follow and go along with Thee.
Lord, how many times did I reject,
the promises I found in Your Word
for, when faced with life’s impossibilities
I acted as if these truths, I never heard.
Lord, how many times did I refuse,
the path You had laid out for me
for, when my selfish pride took control
Your plans I didn’t want to see.
Lord, how many times did I decline,
Your mercy and endless grace
for, when I found  true contentment
it wasn’t You, who I embraced.
Lord, how many times have I denied,
too many to count, I do fear
that is why today I offer You . . .
my repentant, regretful tears!
which said unto him, Before the cock crow,
thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out,
and wept bitterly.”
Stand Fast, Be Strong ~
Be Strong in The Lord used with permission Door Post VErses
Stand fast,
don’t budge
from the truth
don’t nudge.
Stand tall,
lofty, mighty high
lest to the world
you may comply.
Stand solid,
on your Rock
watch carefully
the way you walk.
Stand firm,
do not deviate
lest you miss
the narrow gate.
Stand up,
to your enemy
into God’s Word
turn readily.
Stand fast,
be on the alert
stay strong . . .
from all evil divert!
Once I Was ~
i-was-blind-now-i-see CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann belka
Once I was blind
myself, was all I could see
until the day, I heard Jesus
had died for me.
He opened my eyes,
made me look at my sin
and a spiritual revelation
took place within.
Once I was deaf,
I was unable to hear
until the day, I heard Jesus
wanted me to come near.
He spoke to me,
through the Good News
now I’m enlightened
my fears He’s diffused.
Once I was dumb,
I couldn’t understand
until the day, I heard Jesus
had for me eternity’s plan.
He showed me the path,
lit the way with His light
now I can see everything
through His glorious sight.
Once I was lame,
I just stumbled about
until the day, I heard Jesus
would clear up my doubt.
He took these feet,
made of mire and clay
showed me how to keep them
on the straight narrow way.
Once I was dead,
but now all I live for . . .
is the day with Jesus
I’ll be  ~ forever more!
John 9:25
King James Version
“He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no,
I know not: one thing I know, that,
whereas I was blind, now I see.”
The Cure for Depression ~
PRAYER BY MATT GRUBER FREE PHOTO2752
Dear Father God ~ I come to You,
praying for all who are depressed
asking You to heal their minds
so they no longer feel repressed.
You’ve promised to bind our wounds,
to mend those with a broken heart
so I pray they will come to know
what only Your mercy ~ can impart.
May they see Your transforming light,
in the darkness of their hour
may they come to know the truth
in You, they have strength and power.
May they learn to cast their cares,
and their worries unto Your Son
may they believe He died for them
and their battle He has already won.
Dear Father God ~ I come to You,
asking You to cast out the depression
filling up all these anxious minds
so Jesus can heal their oppression.
who went about doing good,
and healing all that were oppressed
Captured Thoughts ~
taking-every-thought-captive CHRISTIAN poetry by deborah ann
Capture my thoughts Lord,
gird me in the truth
let me follow Thy Word
as in the days of my youth.
With childlike faith,
take into custody my mind
keep me close to You
so Your ways I can find.
Control and restrain me,
release me not from Thy hold
may my heart for You
not turn luke-warm or cold.
Let me not be disillusioned,
by the wisdom of man
seize upon my belief
show me Your perfect plan.
Capture my thoughts Lord,
in my mind be in  control
I give to You my life . . .
let not man conquer my soul!
King James Version
“Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God,
and bringing into captivity
every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
If I Could Write . . .
above-the-clouds CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
If I could write on the clouds,
the raindrops would descend
with the words of my undying love
for in Jesus ~ I’ve no better friend.
If I could write on the seas,
the waves would fall and crest
with the words of my endless faith
for in Jesus ~ I have perfect rest.
If I could write on the mountains,
the foothills would spell out and read
the words of my everlasting trust
for in Jesus ~ I have all that I need.
If I could write on the grass lands,
the blades would clap and sing
with the words of my heartfelt praise
for in Jesus ~ I have an eternal King.
If I could write on the sky,
the twinkling stars would letter out
the words of my eternal hope
for in Jesus~ I’ve not a single doubt.
If I could write up in heaven,
I would spell out your very name . . .
and pray your life you would give Him
for in Jesus ~ you’ll never be the same!
Examine Me, Lord ~
keep-thyself-pure CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Examine me dear Lord,
see through my disguise
tear away the mask
expose the lust in my eyes.
Examine me dear Lord,
test my mind and my heart
point out the inner flaws
keeping us apart.
Examine me dear Lord,
pull back the veil on my sin
show me where my pride
is still rooted in.
Examine me dear Lord,
bare my soul’s weakness
uncover my selfish acts
all that is needless.
Examine me dear Lord,
tear away the disguise
till all I can see . . .
is Your image in my eyes!
There’s Nothing I Can Do ~
There's Nothing I Can Do ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
There is nothing I can do,
no magic door to enter in
if I want to get to heaven
there’s no lottery, I can win.
There is nothing I can do,
I couldn’t purchase my way
even if I had a trillion dollars
to compensate for my stay.
There is nothing I can do,
to reserve a room for me
none of my works on earth
comes with such a guarantee.
There is nothing I can do,
to enter into God’s kingdom
no way for me to earn
the access or the freedom.
There is nothing I can do,
for Jesus paid the full price
I believe He became for me
the final sacrifice!
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
Temporary Troubles ~
Temporary Trouble ~l CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Though they may be temporary,
my troubles still do weigh . . .
on my heart, they are heavy
on my soul, they yet prey.
When God needs my attention,
I feel  like I’m on fire
but, He is only testing my faith
and the depth of my desire.
So, He puts me in the furnace,
to refine me like gold
He uses the potter’s wheel
so His image He can mold.
He uses His Word as a bridle,
to keep me on the straight path
He prunes and He trims
so I may never know His wrath.
He places me in dark valleys,
to see the world’s wickedness
He puts me in arid places
so I’ll thirst after righteousness.
Though they may be temporary,
my troubles still do weigh . . .
but, I know they will bring me
into a glorious new day!
which is but for a moment,
The Children of God ~
Our Hope is in Jesus CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
The children of God,
place their trust
in the One we know
who truly loves us.
The children of God,
have great hope
we’re filled with joy
you won’t see us mope.
The children of God,
praise and sing
we worship and adore
our King of Kings.
The children of God,
cannot be beat
in Jesus we’re strong
you won’t find us weak.
The children of God,
have perfect peace
in Him we have rest
that will never cease.
The children of God,
are His delight
for, our hope is found
in His glorious light.
Taking It To Jesus ~
God_Wants_To_Talk_To_You free photo
Whenever I’m unhappy,
feeling down and out
I take my thoughts to Jesus
talk to Him about my doubt.
I tell Him the way is hard,
things haven’t been so easy
my heart’s frequently broken
my stomach is often queasy.
I let Him know of my cares,
the worries on my mind
how I seem to bump into . . .
difficulties of every kind.
But, then He reminds me,
He came to give me peace
though it does not mean
my troubles will ever cease.
As I turn over in my mind,
my worries and my cares
they just seem to vanish . . .
the more with Jesus I share!
I’m Looking Up ~
worship1_bmp
I’m looking up,
morning, noon and night
I’m keeping my eyes on Jesus
looking straight into His light.
I’m not going to look within,
I’ll just be disappointed
I’m not going to look back
I’ll just get all disjointed.
I’m not looking around me,
I’ll just be distracted
I’m not going to look forward
I’ll just get sidetracked.
So, I’ll just keep looking up,
with praise and gratitude
morning, noon and night
with a thankful attitude!
Beyond This Side Of The Cross ~
Beyond The Cross ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
Beyond the cross,
is a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death
all things are new.
New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.
Beyond the cross,
the truth we find
the love of God
for all mankind.
Light and love,
fills in the dark
exposes sin
raw and stark.
Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
no more tears.
Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.
Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus
died for you!
Hebrews 12:2
King James Version
the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross,
despising the shame,
and is set down at the
right hand of the throne of God.”
My Hope Holds ~
my-hope-is-in-you CHRISTian poetry be deborah ann
He fills me with joy,
I overflow with His peace
my happiness in Jesus
well, how could it cease?
For, I am submerged,
in His mighty power
my hope presses through
the darkest of hours.
He saturates me,
with eager anticipation
for the day of His return
I’m drenched in elation.
I am full to the brim,
with peace, joy and love
oh, what bliss my hope holds
when I join Jesus above!
Where Will You Be?
Where will you be,
on that fateful day
when the Lord takes
His faithful away?
Will you be prepared,
in the twinkling of an eye
or will you be trapped
in one of Satan’s lie?
Will you be ready,
to meet Him in the air
or will you be caught
in Satan’s deceitful snare?
Will you be awaiting,
His return in the clouds
or will you be  . . .
left behind with the crowds?
If you are not saved,
I pray you will see . . .
the need for salvation
so with Jesus you’ll be!
The Blessings of Spring ~
The Blessings of Spring ~ CHRISTian poetry by deborah ann
~ The Blessings of Spring ~
There are many blessings,
that each new Spring brings
you can see it bloom about
and hear the song it sings.
With winters bleakness over,
and brighter days ahead
comes promises of new life
Springtime loves to spread.
As God unfolds the flowers,
and their buds begin to show
He gives to us the assurance
grace in our hearts will grow.
He sends us the robin’s song,
with the promise to provide
a shelter under His mighty wing
where in His love we can abide.
He melts the snowy covers,
and sends the refreshing rain
sprinkling us with His mercies
to heal winter’s ache and pain.
God’s given to all His Son,
to shed upon us a new light
and the real blessing of Spring . . .
is keeping Jesus in our sight!
Song of Solomon 2: 11-12
time of the singing of birds is come, and the
