I’m getting my house in order,
I’m cleaning up the grime
gonna get rid of the things
that are just a waste of time.
I’m clearing out the closets,
throwing away all my stuff
gonna toss out the frivolity
and get rid of the useless fluff.
I’m going from room to room,
until all my idols I uncover
gonna give every one away
so my God ~ I can rediscover.
Then I’m going to spend,
my free time in the Word
I’ll be picking up my Bible
and getting closer to my Lord.

Neat poem! Once we get to stanza four, God puts our spiritual house in order in the way your first three stanzas do.

I like that . . . once we get rid of the junk God gets to work on “our spiritual house” Looking forward to how He plans to remodel some of the rooms I’ve made a mess of 🙂 ~ A Blessed New Year to you ~
