I have a nice home,
a car, a computer and a TV
but, without Christ . . .
what do they really get me?
I have a family room,
one to rumpus all around
but, without Christ . . .
I’d never be heaven bound.
I have sterling silver,
crystal adorns my shelf
but, without Christ . . .
I’m still my tarnished, sinful self.
I’ve many wonderful things,
and an awful lot of stuff
but, without Christ . . .
in this world it’s not enough.
I can travel abroad,
I can get from here to there
but, without Christ . . .
who really cares to where.
I have family all around me,
many people I call my friend
but, without Christ . . .
my life, will come to a godless end.
I been given a lot in this life,
that can be seen externally
but, without Christ. . .
what would I have eternally?

1 John 2:15-17
King James Version
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,
is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever”

This touches me especially tonight, very wonderful. I was talking to someone today about, would I rather have lots of money to escape certain issues/circumstances–or stay in them, with faith in Christ to either fix things, or be my comfort and joy? There’s no guarantee that money and new circumstances would give me comfort and joy–I might just be trading one set of problems for another. But having Christ in/with/surrounding me–that’s a sure fire guarantee for today, and all the way to Eternity. God bless you.

Amen, Bennetta ~ Who indeed are we . . . if we have not Jesus??? Just lost souls wandering aimlessly on this earth with no purpose or direction falling into the cracks of hell! I am so blessed to know Jesus and to have a personal relationship with Him. ~ Blessings ~
