Come Lord Jesus,
rest on me . . .
bring Your Spirit here
and lie with me.
Lean upon my heart,
and breathe with me
attach to my soul
and merge with me.
Join to my spirit,
and unite with me
link to my life
and connect with me.
Fasten to my mind,
and bind with me
tie into my thoughts
and converse with me.
Come Lord Jesus,
rest on me . . .
bring Your Spirit here
and dwell in me!

Psalm 4:8
King James Version
“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”

Deb,
This was beautiful, and the cry of my heart as well. Lord, let me abide in You and rest in You always, for You are my comfort and my peace. Lord bless you, my friend!
Love,
Cheryl

I just love this, Deborah Ann! And I do believe that is iambic pentameter. I am impressed. But most of all, I, too want the the Spirit of the risen Christ resting on me, dwelling in me. Excellent post!

I really enjoy your posts. Tell me, if I am not mistaken, aren’t you Kevin’s sister? I miss chatting with him.

Thank you Daryl. No, I have no brothers only two sisters and there is no male in my family with the name Kevin. Why is it that you think we are related?
