Lord, give me a sense of humor,
a spirit that is light
so when I feel the darkest
my heart sparkles bright.
Let me learn to giggle,
when something tickles me
like my baby grandson
when I bounce him on my knee.
Let me learn to chuckle,
like I did when I was a little girl
even when life’s tangles
are pulling my thinning curls.
Let me learn to laugh aloud,
even if only to myself
like when a child is playing
with no one but them self.
Let me learn to smile,
when I prefer to wear a frown
like a toddler thick in mischief
and thinks no one is around!

Good post; you bring joy to my heart, I am amazed at how you work a verse and put scripture into poetry. Again I thank God for bringing you into my life, Love Greg

It makes me 🙂 to bring joy to your heart. I write what God shows me after I have study a verse or verses. Sometimes it takes all day to write a poem sometimes five minutes it just all depends on what He wants me to say. ~ Blessings ~
