Rust Or Dust ~

Do Not Store used with permission Doorpost Verses on Facebook

I am saving up for the future
got my treasures stored
I am investing in the day
when I’ll meet my Lord.

Though, I may not be rich,
I give to God what I can
and I am always willing
to lend a helping hand.

I don’t own a lot of things,
some say that I am nuts . . .
but, to deny worldly pleasures
takes an awful lot of guts.

I’m keeping my life simple,
so little time to spend here
and I’ll just bide my time
till His trumpet call I hear.

Rust to rust,
material things just decay
but dust to dust
means I’ll see resurrection day!

Matthew 6:19-20
King James Version

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth,
where moth and rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”

It is so funny to my how squirrels get such great billing. You may think I am crazy but I’ve thought alot about the why? Squirrels can be very destructive–they are in my backyard. But as children we are taught that they are “cute.” Why are they cute? That’s what I’ve thought about so much? they are really just big mice–that’s all.

But God gave them something that rats and mice do not have. They have a fuzzy, curly tail. Kids love that and so are fond of squirrels ever after childhood.

God can do that to us humans too. It may be a slight trait He gives us but that slight trait makes all the difference. He taught me through the squirrel. I will never turn the tide of public positive opinion on them because of such a same factor. Something God gave them. AND, so for us, if God blesses, we need nothing else.
