I can’t wait until evening,
till the end of my day
when with my Lord and Savior
I can peacefully lay.
For, as I wait to fall asleep,
I envision His love
falling down upon me
like moonbeams above.
I can’t wait for my eyes,
to shut their lids weary
so all of God’s glory
they can picture clearly.
For, as I begin to doze off,
I visualize His light
glowing inside of me
like the stars at night.
I can’t wait until evening,
as I search for Jesus’ face
when I look out at the moon
I slip to sleep full of grace!

Psalm 4:8
King James Version
“I will both lay me down in peace,
and sleep: for thou, Lord,
only makest me dwell in safety.”

That’s a lovely poem. I should write it down and put it beside my bed!

The adult version of “Now I lay Me Down to Sleep” I must confess that even as an adult I say this pray still. I also sing “Jesus Loves Me” I guess that is why it’s called child like faith! ~ Blessings ~

An interesting poem for me today, because this morning the Lord reminded me what a precious gift is sweet sleep. It is a gift from Him. thanks!

Yes, when I get a good nights rest I am sure to thank the Lord for it when I rise. It is such a sweet gift that He gives us to rest and to have perfect peace while doing so . . . ~ Blessings ~
