If the fruit of the Spirit is love,
then where is it in the church?
I see so many believers there,
who leave other’s in the lurch.
If the fruit of the Spirit is joy,
then where is it in people’s life?
I see so many believers living,
in the misery of their strife.
If the fruit of the Spirit is peace,
then why is there so much conflict?
I see so many believers who gossip,
and on other’s their venom inflict.
If the fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering,
then where is the perseverance?
I see so many believers without any,
and are nothing but an interference.
If the fruit of the Spirit is gentleness,
then where are those who are kind?
I see so many believers who only care,
about their own peace of mind.
If the fruit of the Spirit is goodness,
then where is the generosity?
I see so many believers who don’t know,
the meaning of true Christianity.
If the fruit of the Spirit is faith,
then why do we act like we have none?
I see so many believers who doubt,
all the things that God has done.
If the fruit of the Spirit is meekness,
then where is all the humbleness?
I see so many believers who aren’t living
with a heart of submissiveness.
If the fruit of the Spirit is temperance,
then why are so many out of control?
I see so many believers who can’t see,
they’re broken and need to be whole.
If the fruit of the Spirit is of God,
why aren’t believers more sublime?
The last time I looked in the Bible,
to reap these fruits is no big crime!

Galatians 5:22-24
King James Version
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.”

Yes, my experiences with being in the church was no different then my experience with being in the world. The church actually lead me out into the world and for years I wandered in its cesspool. Thank the Lord he lead me back with only His word directing me. Amen and Amen!

Thank you . . . I think the church has become a “fruitless generation” and pray that the Holy Spirit will come upon these “mega masses” and shine the light and the truth on them. Amen and Amen! ~ Blessings ~

I’m surprised that you have no comments Deborah, forgive me If I seem off to you, but Jesus once asked whether there would be any ‘true’ faith when he returned, And the disciples once asked ‘are there ‘few’ who are saved? Jesus also stated that “Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of God.” I am pretty good at writing stuff that turns people away, but the Lord showed me just two days ago that My writing was for Him, not me. Honestly I had my finger on the delete button clicked it twice and nothing happened. God is not mocked, and Christianity is no mockery either, however it is hard to find one true disciple. Millions are the disciples of their Demon-inations while Jesus condemns sectarianism as Pride of the flesh. I probably said to much for a comment God bless you with the grace and humility of being broken amen.

Amen! Not everyone who says Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom . . . I fear there will far too many who will be turned away. ~ Thank you for sharing your thoughts and God Bless ~

Annie, thank your for the reblog. It would be very interesting if He were to walk into one of the churches today and sit in the back row as He listen to the rock music, the pastor’s jokes, the message of physical wealth instead of spiritual health . . . I too wonder what He would say! ~ Blessings ~
