I wait for the stillness,
as I silently pray
I wait for the Lord
to come and enter my day.
I expect Him to draw near,
and bring me His strength
I expect Him to go with me
the full course and length.
I depend on my God,
to give me His lasting power
I depend on Him to help me
no matter the hour.
I trust in my Rock,
to defend and protect me
I trust He is my shelter
from every storm at sea.
I believe He is my Lord,
my salvation, my peace
I believe He is right here
standing within my reach.
I know that alone,
He is all that I need
I know He will guide me
and His Spirit will lead!

Psalm 62:5
King James Version
“My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.”

My favorite stanza:
I expect Him to draw near,
and bring me His strength
I expect Him to go with me
the full course and length
I love His ‘staying’ power!
Thanks.

I like that I can expect Him, not wish, not think, not wonder but EXPECT Him to be with me. Yes, His staying power is always there for me . . . even when I come unglued! ~ Blessings ~

Thanks. Didn’t realize that in 3 hours I’d be saying good-bye to Jim. Peace prevails through it all.

I, too, wait for that surge every day. It’s not automatic, we have to take care to cultivate it, but it is awesome!

Yes, I wish I could just press enter and receive my daily dose of peace, but not so simple. I have to seek it through prayer and my faith in Him in all things! ~ Blessings ~
