Storms are a part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
often we find ourselves tossed
by the direction the wind blows.
Some storms come out of nowhere,
they seem to blind-side us
causing us to doubt
complain, protest and fuss.
Sometimes we are given a warning,
that a disturbance is on its way
so we try to put everything in order
before it crashes down on our day.
Others comes when all seems calm,
at times waking us from our sleep
arousing in us dread and fear
as we crumble into a quivering heap.
Some storms are like a tornado,
leaving devastation in its path
we shake and tremble thinking
this is God’s almighty wrath.
Storms are part of life,
it’s just the way it goes . . .
but, my friend keep trusting God
for He controls ~ how the wind blows.
~~~~~~
“And they came to him, and awoke him,
saying, Master, master, we perish.
Then he arose, and rebuked the wind
and the raging of the water:
and they ceased, and there was a calm.
And he said unto them,
Where is your faith?
And they being afraid wondered,
saying one to another,
What manner of man is this!
for he commandeth even the
winds and water, and they obey him.”
This is Good! I used to absolutely Panic at the first indications of such storms–but praise God, I’m getting better at trusting Him. He’s never failed to bring me through–and if I just relax, rest and press into Him, it all blows over much more quickly. How sweet it is to learn these things, no matter how late in life. God bless your day abundantly–love, sis Caddo
I like that one line “press into Him” it sounds so safe and reassuring. Thank the Lord that He brings us through them and we seems to always come out of them more in love with Him. Amen!
