Lord, I am thirsty,
I need more of You . . .
for, there’s a spiritual drought
right now I am going through.
Fill me with fresh hope,
take the aridness in my soul away
rain on me Your tender mercy
renew my heart in You today.
Lord, I am thirsty,
my arms are opened wide
protect and defend me
come be my eternal guide.
Make this dry season I’m in,
turn into Your valley green
where Living Waters flow
so on You I may lean.
Lord, I am thirsty,
I need more of You . . .
restore in me my youthful faith
like the refreshing morning dew!
~~~~~~
Psalm 110:3
King James Version
“Thy people shall be willing
in the day of thy power,
in the beauties of holiness
from the womb of the morning:
thou hast the dew
of thy youth.
Thank you so much for the reblog. We are all thirsty souls and I find that everyday I need more of Jesus to quench that deep need inside of me. It is an on going watering of His grace and mercy in my life that keeps me wanting more. ~ Blessings ~
I have been in a desert for about three months now and can’t even pull it together enough to be thirsty. That’s why your blog was so important to me.
Thank you so much for sharing it.
AH, that sounds so familiar. Let us not forget who keeps us from being able to go to the stream of living waters . . . it is our enemy . . . Satan who squelches our thirst with his lies and deceit keeping us bound up in the arid dust bowl in our souls. I will pray for you that they Lord will give you His strength to muster up a refreshing thirst for Him so that your soul will be quenched anew. ~God bless you ~
