The artist is nothing without the Gift,
no portrait would ever be so grand
all the colors would run together
without the touch, of the Master’s hand.
The musician is nothing without the Gift,
no melody would ever be sung or played
the notes would lie alone on the sheet
without the Creator’s, support and aid.
The poet is nothing without the Gift,
no prose would ever come alive
the rhyme would be dull and lifeless
without the Word, to help it to survive.
The potter is nothing without the Gift,
the clay would be without form
it would be full of lumps and clumps
without the Spirit to transform
The architect is nothing without the Gift,
no bridge would ever cross the span
the connection would not bear up
without putting His salvation in the plan.
There is no talent without the Gift,
no one would be able to vie or compete
our abilities would lie unfinished . . .
ah, but the Gift makes us complete!

but the Gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Reblogged this on 66 Assurance Way and commented:
It’s through “the gift” in them that all ‘Artists’ express themselves in ways others can enjoy. Shared with me by deborah ann, I’m sharing this poem with You today. Be blessed. Greg S.

I can so relate to this. I write beautiful poetry but I know it is only possible because of His Gift and inspiration. I love how you have captured the importance of His Gifts in all that we do. Peace, Linda
