My Rock never leaves me,
forsake me He does not
my Rock is strong and sturdy
each time He is sought.
My Rock forever comforts,
protects and provides
my Rock is always present
from me He never hides.
My Rock is my strength,
the power of my might
my Rock is my safe haven
my refuge and my light.
My Rock has a name,
to which I call upon
my Rock is the Lord Jesus
and it’s to Him, I cling on!

Psalm 18:2
King James Version
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress
and my deliverer; My God, my strength,
in whom I will trust; My shield
and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.”

Hi Deborah, I am speaking at a ladies meeting this weekend on clinging to the Rock. I saw your poem “My Rock” and really like it. I wonder if you would grant me permission to quote your poem during my talk? Thanks for your help, Tanya

Oh how they do. Each day I look at my own wretchedness and I cannot believe that Jesus still loves me. I confess, pray and acknowledge to Him how I am not worthy of His love, grace and mercy. Everyday He reminds me why He died for me. I am humbled every moment by this thought and the words of my humbleness pour forth and I write them out. I am inspired by you and all the others that tell me to continue to share my daily journey with my love affair with Jesus. Oh, how I do love HIM!

That is the call of your life… your beautiful purpose… what He made you for … I agree with you… each day I stand in awe of Him and His grace toward me … the more I see Him, the greater I see my sin, the greater the cross becomes … amazing grace 🙂

Thank you sis Caddo. You know I have two sisters in real life, but feel like I have a real sister in Christ with you. It makes my heart happy to know how many brothers and sisters I do have in Jesus. God Bless you . . . always!
