Brokenness is a spiritual gift,
God has given to each of us
it’s in the times we are crushed
that our hearts to Him adjust.
Though it may be painful,
it’s something we must go through
when it’s time to look in the mirror
our sinfulness, He brings to view.
It is not a pretty picture,
when you look, you’ll see the cracks
but, it’s God’s way for you to see
what your spirit truly lacks.
Once you look beyond the figure,
that is staring you in the face
you’ll begin to see the reasons
you need His saving grace.
I have looked into that mirror,
and saw my own flawed condition
I saw how my sin and pride
kept me from full submission.
Yes, brokenness is a spiritual gift,
given so that we may come to see
the reflection of our Lord and Savior
in the hearts of you and me.

2 Corinthians 3:18
New King James Version
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror
the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.’

We are all broken and only pretend to have it all together. At least that is how it is for me. . . I know God is working on all the cracks, filling them in with His mercy and grace to bring Him the glory He is due. Amen and Amen!
