The desert land is now a bloom,
with fruit clinging to the vine
what once was barren ~ is fruitful
and flows with everlasting wine.
Years of drifting in the wilderness,
have finally come to an end . . .
darkness now is full of joyful light
for all ~ finally have an eternal Friend.
The bud of love, blossoms into grace,
stirring the strings of the arid heart
mercy praises they now sing . . .
a song of a new and abundant start.
The weaken hand is made strong,
the feeble knee now too stands
for they have found God’s justice
and place their trust in His hands.
Once blind eyes now can see,
deaf ears now can hear the sound
of the once mute song of praise
as the lame leap ~ an eternal bound.
Hands held high overhead,
giving God the glory He is due
rejoice, rejoice, and again rejoice
for Jesus came to save you!

shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice,
