In Jesus, the poor become rich,
the weak are now the strong
the heavy-heart now rejoices
and sing salvation’s song.
The grieving finds true comfort,
the bound are finally set free
In Jesus, all know that peace
will last throughout eternity.
In Jesus, the hungry are satisfied,
the thirsty now are quenched
the wandering soul is no longer
in their worldly sins entrenched.
The tempted finds the holy way,
the laden down finds perfect rest
in Jesus, the weary and oppressed
finds refreshment and are blessed.
In Jesus, the rich are the poor,
the strong were once the weak
the rejoicer’s are the ones . . .
who know salvation is for the meek!
