Calm waters across the bay,
small ripples the shade of blue
quiet moments on the shore
in the stillness there is You.
As far as my eyes can see,
God’s peace is all around
I look and can see His beauty
from the sky to the ground.
My ears can barely hear,
whispers behind the breeze
Lord, these tranquil moments
remind me of Your ease.
I stand on the sandy beach,
Your peacefulness I take in
I sense the loving calmness
of Your Spirit deep within.
I watch in silent wonder,
reveling in the quietness
I listen to the silence . . .
absorbing Your awesomeness!

when the waves thereof arise,
thou stillest them.”
