Whenever I am afraid
and fear comes my way
I stop what I am doing
and to my Lord, I pray.
I won’t allow my fears,
to take away my calm
for in Jesus I do trust
to be my soothing balm.
In God’s loving-kindness,
He sent me His peace
and Jesus died for me
to see it wouldn’t cease.
I won’t allow my fears,
to influence my serenity
for it is in my Lord
I find my true identity.
Whenever I am afraid,
and fear comes my way
I put my trust in my Lord
to take my dread away!
